Hey Retro, it would help if you mentioned which crack of Giana you have. I have two ready for dumping. If you are fast and catch me before I leave to Uruguay, I can upload them

DragonStone:
Completed in a day. I quite liked it and suggest it to anyone. Great storyline and good graphics. Yo Joe!: Completed in a day. Very good graphics but it's way too easy and after some level I was just collecting extra lives I had 20+ lives when I finished it. Discussed it with a friend and he experianced the same Champions of Krynn: Awful graphics, but hey I love DragonLance stuff Completed in two months. Civilization: Ok everyone finished it, it's lame to be proud just because I finished it. (but I am) Street Fighter 2: Same as above Body Blows: SF2 clone. Not bad. Finished in a few days Colonization: Evil game about killing indians Global Domination: Strategy game, not remember much, not half as good as civ. Syndicate: Skipped a level with cheat because the disk did not load. A bullfrog classic. Chaos Engine: This was hard, I finished it in a few months Dune 2: Finished it with atreides once and with harkonnen several times. Atreides sonic tank was way too better than ANY other unit in the game but it was hard to control. It took some weeks to finish Uropa2: The last game I finised on Amiga without cheating. The big bad guy's name was Bill Setag, does it ring a bell? finished in a month Barbarian 2 (psygnosis): I love the environments and enemies in this game at some later level there was a surrealistic monster with the best animation I've seen in an amiga game. Very addictive. Though not considered as a classic I prefer it to any other psygnosis game.finished in a week. Silk Worm: Heheh everyone knows that. Finished in a few weeks. Cabal: Good first person shooterish 2d game. Graphics were bad but it was ok for it's time. Finished in a month. Darkman: Average game of the creepy movie. Finished in a few days DragonNinja: The arcade version was a special machine with three monitors placed side by side, amiga version is as good as it but there were no extra monitors included in the package Finished in a few days. Entity: Very good platformer. Good graphics, interesting enemies.finished in a few months. E-Swat: I could finish it's arcade version with two coins, and there was a kid who could do wit only one . Finished in a day. Legend of Kyrandia: An adventure game from westwood, it probably has the same graphic and sound artists as in Eye of the Beholder series. Finished in a few months. Golden Axe: Played it on Master System, Mega Drive,PC and in Arcades I can't tell you how long it took to finish it on amiga. Loom: A great LucasFilm adventure. graphics were not good but ok. Finished in a week. I think it had the music of Tschaikovsky and I probably wrote that wrong. Lure of the Temptress: Everything was ok until I was prompted for disk 3. There was no disk 3 !!!But I went as far is it goes.It took about a month to get there. Simon the Sorcerer: There were points I was stuck, and checked them from the solution in a magazine. finished in a few months SuperFrog: finished in a day. I was just too successful at the bonus levels (casino) I managed to duplicate my score in the casino all the time and at the end, it did not fit on the screen (or whatever it's contained it I don't remember the interface much) so my rank was ;FROG GOD i the end UFO Enemy Unknown: Ran too slow on my plain A1200 but it did worth it. Finished in one or two months. I said EOB2 and Defender of the Crown previously. There were so many games I couldn't finish because they were badly cracked or had similar issues as Lure of the Temptress, I try not to count them. Pools of Darkness was improperly cracked, and asked me a word from the document that came with the game, thanks to skid row, I had to quit that game there. @Burseg
well, if you wanna know, I also experienced that in Yo! Joe too... still it's a nice game. at least you finished Chaos Engine, I still try today with no sucess.. Well, I also finished Silkworm , it seems like everyone finished that one I also finished every beat'em up I played on amiga, except Elfmania (I always foundthis game damn hard) I also would like to say I have finished Alien Breed 2.. I always played this one with a friend (NEVER using passwords), and we were getting REALLY good at it.. one day we finally reached the military building, the game asks for disk 3, I insert it, and the game refuses to load it.. that was a very sad day for me and my friend |

Burseg,
You wrote about Entity: Quote:
I have only made it to the second world. I am very curious about the various worlds and ending in this game (see my Entity thread from a couple of weeks ago). Please please please can you give me more information about the game? Thanks in advance. |

Hehe some of the games i was struggeling with (but never giving up):
Dune - very atmospheric design, sometimes hard..Spent a long time playing it... Dune 2 - Completed with all 3 houses, damn, i almost spent a year on this one (i was not that old ) Simon The Sorcerer - Me and a friend were playing this a couople of months or something like that, very good game.. Monkey Island - Wohoo , got some tips of a friend though .... Monkey Island 2 - yeah, but got hold of a solution (used it somethims, not often..) Games i am going to complete: Eye Of The Beholder - got the original, and its installed on my harddrive.. But never got the time to play it... Hmm and some plattformer, dont think i have ever completed a jum`n run game without cheating ... (or have I ??) |

Entity was hard, but it was all about getting used to it I couldn't get much further in the game as well but one day I did, and did not stop until the game is finished, not much advice to give really If it doesn't seem possible, WinUAE has a save/load function! It's not cheating after all.
And Dune 1 rules kriz! (finished in a few weeks but it's quite linear and and I finish it again in a day two or three times heheheh) |

If it was for emulated Amigas save states from UAE would suffice for someone to verify the authenticy of it. Isn't the Debug option in Winfellow able to dump the data? And if so wouldn't it be possible to reload it again?

okay, if you have real Amiga, use a digi cam or webcam to capture (this would be very hard to edit) highscore and i think you can screen grab with amiga software (try Action Replay 4 beta) and then transfer to PC or upload (if your using your Amiga 4 everything).
on the authenticy of the highscore, a save state or memory dump is pretty much secure... you could have an official highscore which has been verified (thru save state or mem dump) and an unofficial highscore (thru screen grab) in an ideal world the people who cheat and edit the screen grab are only cheating themselves...... but we don't live in an ideal world so maybe it would be worth having a few verifiers to check highscores. Feedback??? |
