Leonard of Oxygene (Atari ST Demo group) released AmigAtari Musicdisk: more than 12 hours of Atari-ST demoscene music history, playing on a single Amiga floppy

It may just be the video but the music sounds quite muffled and low quality compared to an actual ST.

The low pass filter has to be off.

Probably one of my favorite Revision releases. As usual when Leonard does something, there is quite a bit of non-trivial code here and the tunes are all great. Excellent Amtari music disk.

Indeed, like his NeoGeo ST musicdisk! Let's hope Amtari doesn't catch on tho...

This one flew right under my radar with all the cool releases from Revision. Thanks for the tip!

Brings back great memories this does of my ST days.

I guess a little bit of trivia but Count Zero (Nic Alderton) who did the music in the Decade Demo is the son of Pauline Collins.... yeah, the one who starred in that shit movie Shirley Valentine.

A1200 direct recording with low pass filter off

[ Show youtube player ]

Atari ST playing same music file as the intro

You can see the two are a lot closer with filter off.

And if you like Oxygene's AmigAtari then how about the Atari STe/TT/Falcon equivalent the Amiga Demo II from a few years back?

The original ST tune still sounds a lot nicer. The Amiga sounds very tinny and has insufficient bass. I guess that's to be expected. It's still a fantastic musicdisk.

Fair enough, nothing wrong with that.

This is running on a bog standard 68000, it's amazing how well it works.

But you know, you're welcome to do better, so go ahead and show us.
