Contact them through the store to see where your order is at in the queue. They have always answered me.
YouTube people have stuff that get priority to shill.

Like I said, I have no idea what my order no. Is.

I did contact the store few times a year ago and got a generic responses. The guy was not able to lookup my order number.

So I wasted 30 days trying to find out where my 700$ has gone.

Sorry. My phone is 7 years old. The screen is shot. I'm clearly on a budget.

My bank acct numbe and original pre payment methodr has changed too. So I have no way to get a refund. Great success.

What's the point of that video. It takes 5 minutes to swap an A1200 keyboard. Ribbon clip. No screws, no soldering.

7 or 8 screws on the bottom and the whole thing pops open.

1 screw to hold the floppy drive in place (the one that keeps falling inside the shield).

The original hard drive (Seagate) juits there.

Never remove the RF shield. Electronic engineering fail.

I realize I'm way back in the cue with the "SE" keyboard layout, but by now, I think I'm on my 5th "delay due to Chinese New Year" ;-)
Anyhoo, I'm still glad these things are done at all, even if it takes years for them to materialize.

Interesting that Jeff stated he was having his kid help build them. "We roughly estimate approximately six to eight weeks for the rest of Oct '18 and all of Nov '18 pre-orders to ship. The pace is picking up as we've perfected the process and recruited some cheap labor to help (my son!)."

Obviously the pace never picked up, and if unskilled child labor can help put these things together, the rest of the adult Amiga enthusiast population many of whom do have 25 or 35 years of soldering and project kit building and modding experience can handle it, or pay a local electronics repair service to solder it if they can't.

Warranty? Do we even expect there to be any service or warranty repairs on these from AOTL? I sure don't. We can't get the boards we ordered to start with, or an honest update, or an email returned. I don't think there is even the slightest chance of getting any help from them in a warranty situation even if they did assemble it. So whats the difference?

I would PREFER to build it myself, and I would even still pay full retail price for the kit unassembled! And be fine to fully accept the lack of any warranty.

---------------

Kipper you've made the PERFECT product, it solved SO MANY issues with building or using an old amiga 500/1200/Pi that needed to be solved.

It's just been so painful to taste something that is actually REAL, but then it turns out to be essentially unattainable due soley to ATOL's mismanagement of a 'side-business' that presents itself as real business.

That's a very nice looking keyboard and it matches the black case nicely. It's a pity these keyboards are unobtainable as they're the best looking replacement keyboard I've seen.

It's a very nice keyboard, but the wait was incredibly long. I believe there were supposed to be keycap options. My only complaint was that the black keycaps are a charcoal black not a real black.

Keycaps, replacement keyboard.. etc whatever the variant is, is such a complicated and confusing prospect.

Been wanting either option since 2020, I've either given up or no longer have any idea how the f@#k or where the f@#k to attain them even if they turn up?

Does anyone know anything about the planned extra features? There is a connection labeled Gotek on the keyboard PCB. It would be awesome if this was meant for an on screen display (OSD) feature. Kipper2k site has vanished so there have been no updates. Thanks!

I think Kipper shut his site down because he got tired of all the flack over these Keyboards. It has got to the point of ridiculous now with the production of these keyboards. Every couple of months there is a new excuse of why these keyboards are delayed. The newest one was in Sept when they (gulp) claimed they ran out of PCBs and it was going to take 3 months to get new ones made. The question I have is how many boards are they short? How many orders are still unfilled? One last question how inept can a person or group of people be to totally miss manage production of this keyboard?

The lack of communication is the biggest issue. A1200.net does a great job with monthly updates on cases and keypads. Amiga on the Lake is at fault here. But people preordered because of Kipper2k’s involvement.

i have 3 cherry mx keyboards built (and a few complete Keyboard caps) that i will sell. I will not sell to Europe (Sorry.) I no longer have paypal as their new policy trying to fine users $2500.00 is criminal. so they are gone. Canadians and mabbe Americans can buy using email bank transfer.. Message me if you are interested.
