Could be a good surprise in the end but the change from genre (to a FPS) is not really promising.
Makes me think of X-Com Enforcer. Not really a bad game by itself but no on par with the other X-Com titles. It would be nice if the other characters (from the co-op mentioned) could be AI controlled and allowed a human player to switch control between them at will. A bit like the Hired Guns 3D beta does. |

What made Syndicate unique was its setting and the fact that it had minor tactics involved in the gameplay - simply blasting everything in sight with a minigun wasn't always the most efficient way of clearing a level (but often it was of course).
And now its turned into an FPS. Well the setting is still cool enough, so as long as they make it like Deus Ex as much as possible (simply because that is more fun than the average FPS), I'll play it. Next up: Jagged Allience FPS, Crusader: No Remorse FPS reboot and heck while we're at it, why not a Wing Commander FPS eh? as long as you can sometimes fly freeform in a spaceship it will have enough ties with the original... |

I don't know what will happen to Jagged AlliEnce but the two forthcoming Jagged Alliance games follow the trail of the predecessors (obviously for Back in action since it is supposed to be an enhanced remake):

Cool, at least Jagged AlliAnce is saved for now But never say never, if the remake turns out to be popular it will have to become something for the masses.
Meh, nothing is worse than the Blade Runner (movie) reboot that my gut is telling me is around the corner... The time is right for it. Who cares that some game franchises become bogged down by FPS gameplay, they are going to rape a wonderful movie dammit. |

Well, at least it is a FPS.
They could have planned a Syndicate action adventure game with quick time events. Or a Syndicate hidden object game |

Quick time events are not necessarily bad, as long as they are implemented to better the game and not because "people want them". |

I was thinking about old games and remakes (just yesterday), and thought it was great that millenium 2.2 was remade. Then Syndicate sprang to mind, well wierd. Im personally looking forward to Carrier Command. |

Yet another Sigh post. Sigh ....
I suspect the two above posts were a trap for people like me, not able to resist to joke about such a combination. |

This one surprised me actually, most games that didn't turn into a franchise have drifted into obscurity today so I wonder why an attempt is made to revive this classic when there is money to be made with safe bets. It's not a bad thing though, I can use a good strategic war game when I'm done with Civ 5 |

On the FPS "reboots" I didn't mind Command and Conquer: Renegade a few years ago, then again I sucked at C&C. As for Syndicate, a game where you are one of the cyborgs could be cool especially if you weren't always in control of your actions like the cyborgs in Syndicate for the Amiga. I always imagined at least one of them wrestling with their conscience and trying to fight their reprogramming. Although I expect the new game to just be Deus Ex. |

Apart from the name, what does this have to do with Syndicate? Jack shit Just another FPS, and it probably can't hold a candle to the best of them. Not interested
