No, I've no idea what the reason for this FastMem-problem is. Nobody else seems to have this problem.

Thanks, I'll test them all for this chipmem-thingy. Quick test with 2 versions:
46.4.231 - works => chipmem stable 46.4.232 - works not => chipmem eaten |

Hello Bamiga2002,
thanks a lot for testing the bunch of libs. As I already expected, it seems to be a problem with my FindTask() and FindPort() instructions in the Open() routine, Probably, these functions, which are all protected by a Forbid()/Permit() pair, are switching off the multitasking for a too long time, and FindTask() disables even the interrupt handling, which could cause the trouble. So, I took out the FindTask() instructions at least now, and hope that this can solve the problem. Let's see first if it works already, before I try to change more. Yes! This version works
![]() ![]() but how come I seem to be the only one having this problem? Is it related to BPPC or something else perhaps? |

Hey, that's great.
Did you try the latest version ? I've updated it some hours ago. It's a problem that occurs on systems with two CPUs. Your PPC doesn't like it when I disable the interrupts and the multitasking for too long. |

That was my big problem, that I don't have such a nice PPC to check things out by myself. However, in case you still get any issues then don't hesitate to report them. Many thanks for your feedback !

Thank you Bamiga2002, it's good to know that this PPC problem seems to be fixed now. And I've already done another new version. It's experimantal again, like the previous version.

Hi Foul,
thanks a lot for reporting that issue. Could you please upload a few of these examples. And a little more info about your system would be nice. Which OS version? Workbench, DOpus5 or Scalos etc.... Last edited by PeterK; 25 June 2012 at 20:00. |

Hey Foul,
I need the "*.info" files and not the associated files. Or are the icons on the adf images ? I will check that now. Or don't these files have any real icons ?? |
