Will there ever be a Runemaster 3 MSX port or game on Amiga?
Past years there has been some significant releases of ports for Atari, C64 and MSX to Amiga. MSX games has a small part (besides a way much bigger part for Amiga) One of them has already been released...Metal Gear (Thanks so much Hoffman!!)! There are some more still on my Wishlist, like Snatcher, Kings Valley 2 (including level Editor) and Metal Gear 2 (wishful thinking).
BUT, there has been 1 game which has a special character. Its a very cool interactive board game: Runemaster 3! - 4 characters you can choose from with each its specialties - 3 opponents which can be a real player or CPU. - Fight battles and bosses and receive gold which you can use to buy stuff! - special options in battles using MP Points - HP Points (when Zero you are dead and have to start over or start from last rest point (shop), - Shop to buy and regain health, weapons, life (regain health), tools etc. and even gamble using monkey climb games!. - Its always different/diverse (because you throw dices and enemies and soldiers (who may join your army) are random on the tiles you come (except for bosses). - Cool game play with battles throwing dices against each other and depending on your Army you may throw up to 4 to 5 dices at a time (when really lucky with soldiers joining you)! - Because every game varies (except for base lines) it keeps being very nice to play. So game porters, game developers...please consider porting/creating this game or sort like game ![]() [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by Paulthetall; 31 May 2023 at 13:57. |

Ah, Runemaster 3, what a gem! Dice, randomness, replayability, loved it all. Fingers crossed for Snatcher and Kings Valley 2!

If the games don't have an open source, or an available reverse-engineered code, then the chances of any of them ever being ported to the Amiga are very slim.
Besides Metal Gear, Knightmare (Majyo Densetsu) has also been converted and the end result is quite good. There was a "WIP" of Tempations shown a few months ago but that was a RedPill recreation ( [ Show youtube player ]), using the graphic assets of the original game. That, IMO, is not a real direct port. |

Remakes/Recreations, are also fine with me when Porting is not possible
![]() Because of the latest dev apps like redpill its get perhaps more interesting to get ideas what to make. These examples might enlighten some devs. HTML Code:
There was a "WIP" of Tempations shown a few months ago but that was a RedPill recreation Cool thing of remakes, is the ability to improve/extend the game with better graphics, intro's etc. For Maze of Galious this is a cool remake where the devs has open sourced it. Other games that stimulated me at the time were Daiva V and Space Manbow, the seemingly precursor to ThunderCross arcade.
GunFright is a speccy port and, as such, would like to see it made in Viva! Mortis 8+8 color palette style [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by saimon69; 01 June 2023 at 19:22. |

Does not have the speccy palette nor the Ultimate look - else Cadaver is another one in the style, or maybe the isometric Resident Evil remake being made on the megadrive?
(i envision Dead Space made that way) |

Or ports of the arcade version. If anyone would port Road Fighter for example, the arcade version is essentially very similar when it comes to graphics and sound but it just has more filler that adds to the gameplay value. So go for that one instead.

Why just port it? I would be glad if extra races are added!
