BUGS you found after Decades in Amiga Games
Hi Folks
![]() It´s me Torti, your friendly Sugar baking Smurf ![]() and i wanted to ask you Guys about "BUGS" you have found in Amiga Games ![]() (even if it took decades) I beginn ok ? (obviously ![]() Those Bugs can be found in two of my all Time Favorite Amiga Games and it took me decades to find them. ![]() 1) Lionheart. Well; there is literally a BUG wiping the Floor in Level 1-2 ![]() [ Show youtube player ] Took me about 30 years to find it ![]() This one only "works" in the Retail Version (executable). There is a updated executable and this "BUG" was fixed. Kinda funny Bug tho. ![]() He is wiping the Floor until the Cows come home. ![]() 2) Turrican (1) . Well, there is the "FUCK YOU" BUG !!! (NO, i am not trying to be rude or silly here; it´s 100% true !!!) But nobody knows about that one; well until now, i guess ![]() Get this. The "BUG" (programm) will spell "FUCK YOU" on the Screen. (guess how i must have felt when a game that i adore said... ![]() ![]() ![]() I dont know if it still works in the CDTV version and it is very hard to get but i swear by all that is holy and sweet on this Earth, it´s 100% true !!! It is very specific to get that one and it took almost 30 years to "find it". (not that i was searching for the opportunity to be cursed on by one of my all time favorite games ![]() Lets just say; the Bug found me ![]() almost fourth Dimensional experience ![]() There is another one in Turrican 1 where you get 100% stuck, but that one is not that "interesting" ![]() To explain how to get those bugs would spoil the fun i guess and would make this already long text even longer. ![]() So, now i want to hear from you guys. Any bugs you found after decades playing your favorite games or anything like that ? I wanna know ![]() Yours Truly, Torti ![]() Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 12 December 2022 at 23:08. Yeah, there's a bug in Shadow of the Beast where if you stand in the right spot and do a certain thing his cloths will fall off and you can play the game naked. I'm not going to say where or how because I can't be bothered to, but it's totally true, lolz!

A TROLL !!! ![]() ![]() That is no fantasy Thread here !!! ![]() Obviously you dont believe the "F.Y." bug in Turrican 1. Believe it or not but it is 100% true and i even asked Wepl years ago about that Bug. So; Troll, be gone !!!! ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS: For all the People that want to know how i got this F.Y bug in Turrican 1. I only saw it one time, years ago, but let me explain: It was in World 4 and i used the Wheel. Turri rolled around and i bounced from a few platforms until i got stuck in some edge. Then i though "ok, the only way to get out here is to let the time run out" But to my suprise, when the time was out the game was not able to reset the position of turri and a big "FUCK YOU" was on the screen. I kid you not !!! I would not blame you if you dont believe me, but its true. We could try to find it together. (if you want) ( i know a different spot in World 4 where Turri gets 100% stuck when using the wheel, but after the time runs out the game is able to reset that position ) So, the clue would be to get the Turrican Wheel in a position where the game is unable to reset Turri back to a neutrale position. Then we would get the F.Y Believe it or not !!! It´s true, i swear !!! Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 12 December 2022 at 10:18. Reason: adding the PS |

If you fly into the mouth of 1st level boss in Project X you die, it is supposed to be a secret space invaders game.

I think one of Apidya's bonus levels was inaccessible due to a bug, it was only seen for the first time in the WHDLoad era. Ironically a game with lots of literal bugs as well.

![]() but it should be Games that you really know well and have played ALOT. ;and it took you as a suprise to find those Bugs, after all those (maybe) Years/Decades. ![]() So, keep em comming; no trolling please, ok ? ![]() Quote:
![]() It was on the KAIKO version of Apidya but it took ages to find. Yes, it was a BUG ![]() https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=34908 Well, the game is filled with lots of literal bugs; like you said Megalomaniac ![]() The crazy thing is, that there are games out there where even after 30 years stuff is still discovered. Like Super Mario Bros for instance. New levels where found. (not only -1) Ed Boon of Mortal Kombat fame told a while ago that in the classic Mortal Kombat 1-2-3 games where still things people didnt find in all those years. Fascinating stuff i have to say. ![]() But a little bit "off topic". Its more about Bugs we found after (maybe) decades ![]() But thats ok ![]() Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 13 December 2022 at 11:32. Reason: spotted some typos |

Indeed. I do a lot of graphics ripping for shady and mysterious reasons and that really makes me scrutinise graphics of games from high level down to the per-pixel level

![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, here is what i have called the "IT´S A TRAP BUG" in Turrican 1. (not the F.Y BUG) Sorry for my bad voice but i am still recoverying from a very bad flu&cold ![]() (Thank you Ransom1122 for letting me use your YouTube Channel ![]() [ Show youtube player ] [ Show youtube player ] I will try the F.Y now. But i use WinUAE for that, because its very difficult to get. The Wheel has to get stuck in/side the Level geometry so the game gets confused and dont know how to handle/reset Turricans position. Thats where you get the F.Y BUG ! ![]() Happend to me Years ago in world 4 (guess 4-3). The Reason i think that can happen is, because of the odd angled Platforms in World 4. I will try that now with WinUAE (savestates). Wish me luck ![]() I know its true; i saw it happen !!!!!! (maybe someone can hack the game to get the wheel stuck inside the level geometry; then wait for the time to run out and BOOOM ... F.Y ![]() So, i am going in now !!! ![]() For Science !!! ![]() Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 13 December 2022 at 20:42. Reason: adding YouTube Links, thanks to Ransom1122 !!! |

Recently I found a bug in the James Pond: Underwater Agent game. In the level, where you have to save all the mermaids, for some reason it didn't opened me the exit, even after bringing them all to the safe plaec. So I had to use a cheat to finish the game and complete my longplay.

Oh for F.Sake
![]() I did try for hours to get Turri stuck inside the Level geometry; but no success ![]() No wonder it took 30 Years to find it. ![]() What i have discovered however is that using the Granates (which can be shoot in Wheelform) confused the Sprite position slightly. ![]() I think thats the secret to get Turrican "inside" the Level !!! But good luck with that. ![]() I tried for hours (even with a Trainer to get unlimted granates) ; I could not do it ![]() I played Turrican since 1991 about a few hundreds Times and did get Turri stuck one time INSIDE the Level Geometry. This is where the F.Y happend !!! (because the game did not know how to handle that; well it did with a F.You ![]() It would be way easier if someone could hack Turrican, so we could place the wheel wherever we want and with a press of a button set the Time to Zero. Then we could get the first video footage ever of the "Fuck You Bug" in Turrican. I swear by the life of my Mother, Father, 2 Brothers and the grave of my dead Grandmother that it´s true. (even if you dont believe me, i saw it !!!) Besides the "Game over" and "Time out" there is another message that can appear on the Screen. You know what i mean ![]() I look at the Disk Images and the CDTV files now via HEX, maybe i can find it there ![]() It is real for F. sake; but its easier to win with a Six in the Lottery !!!! ![]() Quote:
Keep em comming !!! (No trolling allowed!!!) Only real Bugs ! |

![]() ![]() ![]() Great stuff Alexh ![]() ![]() About Turrican 1 ( driving me nutz ![]() I had a look into the HEX Code of the CDTV Files; ![]() but they are all encryped ![]() No "Game over" no "Time out" No "F.Y" Hmm, would be too easy i guess ![]() (can someone made a hack so we can place turri wherever we want and via a button press set the time to zero ? ![]() Anyway; please keep reporting those Bugs you found in your favorite games, so we all might learn a thing or two. (or in the case of Amermoon; 150+ things .... Holy COW ![]() |

In PGA Tour Golf, sometimes when you hit the ball into the hole from afar, it will go in but if you watch the action replay afterwards it will sometimes miss or hit the flag post and deflect away from the hole. Just so in the replay, the score still counts. It doesn't happen often, but when you play complete tournaments it should happen here and there.
In Goal!, when you shoot the ball out and the opponent gets a corner kick but when the opponent touches the ball while already being out before the corner is executed, then you will execute the corner instead of the opponent, but within your own half of the pitch. Works also the other way around, so if you touch the ball that the opponent hitted out, he gets a corner in his half heading at his own goal. I hope that was any understandable ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Zak; 15 January 2023 at 21:56. Reason: Typo |
