Bandcamp (no, is not about the Epic Games aquisition)
(I only know H0ffmann here that has a Bandcamp store, but i suspect there are others);
Most of it my question is how you handle your store? Mine is a bit neglected due to my need to share the few time i have between main job, music composing and family, and sales are not that good so any advice is recommended. |

I want to know how you usually handle your releases and promotions; last time i did most that a tutorial was explaining - keywords, descriptions, bandcamp daily submission,etc. but had only five sales first week then crickets so i wonder if this is normal for the segment we work on or am doing something wrong/neglecting things

As a regular Bandcamp customer, in my perspective it doesn't matter what you have in the actual Bandcamp page, it's more how to advertise elsewhere. I rarely use anything in Bandcamp to find music, I get the information elsewhere. By googling bands, by reading music news pages / magazines, from forums, last.fm etc. Well, from BC itself I check what others have bought, who buy the same album as I do... and then get email subscription notifications if my favourite bands have released something new... but for finding something new it's usually from elsewhere.
Now I know your pages and can listen if I like it enough to buy it, but wouldn't found them without ads here ![]() Last edited by jPV; 07 March 2022 at 07:47. |

I don't know if it would be a problem if you'd make own thread to inform new music you release or so... aren't game makers and Amiga resellers doing that too? Haven't read any small prints here, but it wouldn't bother me at least
