There is a 1987 ST game with the same name, but I'm not sure if it is related: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari...lis_24876.html

There is a rolling demo with the same name by 'Dia' from 1992 and again I don't know if it is related.

Any info would be appreciated

demo should be in Gamebase Amiga, but i don't know if it was already present or i added myself.
Latter case i don't remember the link.

It's wrong this demo. It is 1992 by Dia Design, PD demo. In Gamebase is indicated 1989 by Rapid.s
in database i found this entries without adf file and so i found a Metropolis file in Tosec PD and i thought it was the same game. Instead it is not. Sorry.

i found the game in question only on wikipedia (i found only intalian info):

That's the same one that Cody pointed to then. I guess it was planned to be ported at one point.
