Amiga 1200 internal CD-Rom

I have seen on youtube a video of an Amiga 1200 having a slimline internal CD-ROM. I wonder is it possible that another IDE slim line CD-ROM could be used inside an Amiga 1200. Like the ones that older beige small form factor Compaq PC's have used.

Debated doing this but it's the case chopping that makes me stop and think, i think there is a thread on here that gives a description with pics etc

The ultimate in cool in an A1200 for me is an Apple G3 DVD/CD-RW slot drive with a JAE-IDE adapter. Using one of these just gives you a minimalist, barely visible slot and the machine almost looks standard, however, you have to use the software that comes with the IDE buffered adapter to eject the CD, as there's no eject button.

There are slot in slimline drives available at most mini-itx shops. They come with a face panel and an eject button..

Otoh in these days of SATA, good old PATA models are a bit more rare.
