Quick question about Floppy Drive Emulation Speed
If I use a standard (Quickstart) configuration for A1200 with 4Mb Fast Ram, the Floppy Drive Emulation Speed is "100% Compatible". Is there any particular combination of settings that could change that setting to "Turbo"?
This has happened to me recently, and I was wondering why my floppy disk-based stuff was loading too fast and disrupting the flow of trackmos. The strange thing is, I saw the setting change before and I changed it back to "100% compatible", but then it went back to "Turbo". Is some other setting changing the Floppy Drive Emulation Speed? |

"High-end" quickstart (a3000+) settings set turbo floppy speed.

Didn't want to create a new thread for my question. so here it goes:
Is there a way to set the default floppy speed to 800% when using Quickstart? I tried creating a default.uae, but that didn't work. |

What do you mean by default - you created default configuration and it is not memorizing floppy speed?? -- Never mind - tested it, wrote on bottom my findings...
BTW, sliding bar to left (turbo) vs. 800% will move loading speed much higher on new computers. Just to confirm, created default config, made few changes, other settings get saved and loaded once WinUAE is started, except floppy drive speed. |

Thank you for confirmed Anubis
I'm going for 800% since (at least in the past) Turbo sometimes might cause a game to behave... weird or just not load. That might be long fixed, but I rather not waste time to figure out why a game doesn't work if I can avoid it. |

I have no idea either about turbo speed.
To avoid all issues with booting Amiga games, I usually load the game normally, create save state and setup configuration to load from that save state. But I play only one game at the time, so I don't care that it takes bit longer to set it up. My default template has also F5 setup as save state, F6 as Quick Save State and F8 as Quick Restore State. |

Use warp mode to skip loading parts (end+pause). It won't cause any compatibility problems (at least when not using fastest possible cpu mode) |
