Veteran (Software Horizons) Bugged or not?
I know this game is really bad, so we can leave that conversation for another day but is this game bugged or not?
After you finish a stage you energy does not refill back to max? With no Energy Refills in the game and only one life, are you really supposed to beat this game? It's got me thinking this game might be bugged after you beat a stage and your energy doesnt refill back to max? Either way I have submitted a ticket for the WHDLoad version, to fix the energy refill after a stage issue and possibly add the skip stage or even an energy cheat. Because there is no way this game can be beaten with one life... |

I tried the SPS version and yes, 1 life and no energy refills.
I don't think it's bugged. I think this is intended. The manual calls it an "exciting simulation" so just like real life, you only get 1 life and no energy refills when in battle. And given it's only 3 levels, I think it's intended. |

There's 5 levels not 3. If you press help you can skip stages.
I think 3 levels were made only for the ST |

My mistake. The box and manual both say 3. I assumed the Amiga version would've been a direct port of the ST version.

If that's the way the game is made, then the best I could get to is level 3.
Tips I've found is... ... Immedately throw a rocket launcher on the guys that throw the grenades at the start and or any other grenade throwers in any other level. ... Try to hold mouse button/Shoot at the enemies for short periods of time instead of holding it down for long and using all ammo ... Assume you bullets will hit the enemy in advance so you can start on the next enemy before he fires at you ... Helicopters can be disposed of by shooting at the pilot and not the helicopter ... Use rockets wisely, often you can attack two tanks and 2 people at the same time (Especially in level 2) ... Always pickup up Ammo & Rocket (Golden Bullets) Refills Things I'm not sure of... ... You can't fire at the grenades launched by the grenade launcher men? If anyone can add to this be my guest |

Then he clearly has a wrong memory of his own game. Anyway, this game is not worth spending any time on. That someone thought it would be a good idea to use C to for programming a "great" Operation Wolf clone is the main issue with the game.

I suspect its a one life game because it would be completed in only a few minutes
