Broadcaster Elite & Sunrize AD516 Audio Card

It seems I am having real trouble finding any help in regards to this position. Is it really that exclusive this setup? I posted here once before regarding this and someone said they may have had ver 2.08 software but never got back to me... guess they didn't...so please can someone scratch there heads and help me here, this must be one hell of a set up once I get it going... I'll be able to convert all those home movies in realtime and with svhs input and snd

Okay, very exclusive question and probably no one can help but every now and then I ask it, just in case.

I have both these boards as above but I am wanting to connect them so I can digitize video and sample audio at the same time. And this requires a cable that links them together. Maybe someone knows? I also need version 2.08 of Studio 16.

Thanks for any input or help. I guess I'm really looking for someone that has this very setup or has a good memory of it or has this or that

Try to contact the webmaster of www.amigis.nl/elite.html, he has taken this Broadcaster32 photo for me. He should have software (Producer) and manual for the card.

@Alex, thanks very much for this heads up... I've contacted the webmaster and he's replied (an ex-new zealander it appears, small world huh) I've since sent them my inquiry so hopefully they can help in software and cable... *fingers crossed*

@Pyromania, thanks for coming forward... Not too sure what we can do about this... perhaps if you could simply copy down any jumper settings and information concerning the cable to the Elite Broadcaster? i.e. important alignment of pin one etc... actually, how hard have I looked at this board, does it even have jumpers...

thanks SO much!

Well, the reply was certainly fast... I hope they don't mind me reposting it but I feel it's good final information
for anyone else going down this path... I guess I need to
tinker some more... or talk to Eric?

thanks again Alex

Hi,

unfortunately it's not that simple ...

there are three versions of the Elite board, many Producer software
versions, and at least two major revisions of the Sunrise sound card.

the Broadcaster (Elites) that we had worked directly with the Soundstage
audiocard from the same company.
I know for sure that if you have the right Broadcaster/ AD516/Studio16
combination you don't need a cable to connect them, it will simply work (we
have sold a ffew of these combinations in the past, very long time ago). I
think you need a certain version of the Studio 16 card and software
(probably just the latest versions) to make things work but I'm not entirely
sure about that. Maybe it does not work if you have the latest Elite board
and the Studio 16, because the latest Elite (+ software) is really meant to
be used with the Soundstage card. We don't have experience with other
Sunrize cards (like the cheaper 12-bit version).

All documentation that we received is from pre-web times (scattered on
faxes, technical manuals etc.) and we probably don't have much of it left.
The only thing that we may have somewhere is the lastest version of the
Elite software. Apart from that, the Elite is really difficult to set up,
it's very specific about all kind of issues in the Amiga (like cpu board,
Zorro3 slots, video harddrives etc.).

your best bet would be trying to find the developers from Applied Magic
(especially a guy named Eric), but as the company went out of business that
will be difficult.
