Graphic WinUAE logo

Looking around on the web, I noticed that in some places WinUEA has no screenshots and no logo like other emulators, also it is described as being the best, yet it has a very small write up and under the developer/company tag it remains empty.

I think a WinUAE logo is a must for the best Amiga emulator on the planet, it deserves it. Maybe something like an old pixel art style 'WinUAE', it's got to be worth it + it doesn't have to be huge either.

Great idea DH!

The letters should have the colours of the rainbow incorporated in them like the Amiga Tick, but not a Boing Ball like WinFellow.

I just think it's such a shame that one of the best emulators out there, doesn't have it's own name as part of the logo.

Edit: How the hell can I completely forget to put a full word into my post

Well, as I know my bro DH, I'm quite sure you have something you could make at least as an example

Proof read carefully to make sure you haven't any words out.

Well If anything it needs to be simple, also If I use the colors of the Amiga tick in the letters of 'WinUAE', the main background part will have to be either a dark colour or black instead of invisible which I was planning on suggesting.

It should be simple enough to be able to be reduced to icon size, but a full size animated version could have the colours shifting, rather like the graphic you gave as an example signature (which I thought was splendid!).

One just leaps out for a second and finds his post with the animated avatar 'cause he can't remember what it looks like and jumps back again

Yes, that would look nice

Look what I found

I'm not even sure if it's an official WinUAE logo, as the official site is still down If it is though, why isn't it being used in their production?

Hey, that's rubbish!

It was probably made for WinUAE versions 0.6.x

Copyrighted or not, remove the link now!

(Square dot over the 'i' is a nice touch, though )

It is a bit shocking, I'm sure I can come up with something a little better

Where's Toni when you need him, as there may be a reason why they don't use a logo with WinUAE. Maybe the above piccie *was* the reason why

True, only because that was an official Amiga touch. btw. it looks a bit like the office2000 colours in the boing ball, surely that's taking things a bit too far

That image is far too rough round the edges to be anything official! It looks like the Boing Ball is crying because it's been emblazoned with the Windows logo (and wouldn't M$ demand payment for that?).

Guess that's another problem I would like to see the Amiga checkmark with the writing 'WinUAE' Maybe with some added fancy GIF lighting in the 'extended' version

Yep, but I need to re-install it as it's not behaving itself

Will start on it tomorrow and as CF says, any ones welcome to give it a go, after all, we may all end up using WinUAE permanently one day, maybe when I'm in my 100's though
