Guide for Amiga OS 4.1 on FS-UAE?

Hey all I bought Amiga OS 4.1 digital download a few days ago and I can't really get past the Amiga 4.1 screen with the blue background. It flashes for a second then I either get a green or a white background.

I have imported all the Amiga Forever ROMS that came on my Amiga Forever Plus 8 disc too

Running FS-UAE 3.1.66 and FS-UAE Launcer 3.1.68 on my 2020 M1 MacBook Air w/ 16 GB RAM running macOS Sonoma 14.3.1.

See screenshots...

Configuration in FS-UAE Launcher:

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Yeah. I'm actually trying to figure this out myself right now. Same thing happens to me. I'm going to try to figure out how to get logging going for fs-uae and then figure out how to post that up.

Okay. It's been a while since I've been on boards and stuff. Here is my fs-uae log regarding the green screen issue trying to emulate a PPC Amiga running OS 4.1 FE. I apologize if I'm hijacking the thread. Thanks in advance for any help we can get.

Oh and I completely forgot: I'm running a MacBook Pro M1 16 Gb Ventura 13.01

I often get the green screen when booting 4.1FE under WinUAE, but a soft reset allows it to proceed; I suppose you already tried this?

I'm not sure about the OP, but I just tried a soft reset and a hard reset from the menu on the right after a fn-F12. It's hung up at that point and won't do a reset. I have to do a command-Q to get back to the gui.

Thank you though. I'll play with it later.

This is a working 4.1 config for fsuae.. DON'T use the GUI launcher, it's missing lots of config options.

[fs-uae]
base_dir = /amiga
accelerator = cyberstorm-ppc
accelerator_memory = 131072
accelerator_rom = cyberstormppc.rom
amiga_model = A4000/OS4
chip_memory = 2048
cpu = 68060-NOMMU
floppy_drive_volume_empty = 0
fullscreen_mode = window
graphics_card = picasso-iv-z3
graphics_card_rom = picasso_iv_flash.rom
hard_drive_0 = os41F.hdf
hard_drive_0_type = rdb
joystick_port_1_mode = nothing
kickstart_file = A4000-3.1-rev-40.068.rom
mouse_integration = 0
mouse_speed = 75
network_card = a2065
uaem_write_flags = 0
zorro_iii_memory = 524288

you can also just manually add the missing config options into advanced options for any config you have which override the defaults.

Well, OK. After attempting just about every permutation of every configuration option, after poring over logs and config files until my eyes burned, and after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I finally figured out the problem: the ARM version of FS-UAE for MacOs is evidently not ready for prime time. Last night I downloaded and installed the x86-64 version for MacOs and installed and configured AmigaOS 4.1 with few, if any, glitches. It's not quite as zippy as I would like, given it has to use x86-64 emulation, but it works, and works well enough for me to explore.

Anyway, thank you to everyone that posted suggestions and comments. I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes on.
