Need A3000 SCSI info
I'm ready to purchase an External CDROM drive for my A3000.
I need to know which range of SCSI drives I can use - SCSI-I, -II, -Wide, Ultra, UltraWide? The problem I have with All SCSI External enclosures is the connector. I saw 25 pin same as A3000, 50 pin centronics, 50 pin High Density and so on. I know that the Amiga takes SCSI I and SCSI II drives internally. I guess my question is, can I use ext drives with 50pin HD connector, or other providing that I can get the proper cable / adapter for it. Thanx |

Just about everything you find will be cross compatible, except if the drive happens to be picky. Just get a suitable cable that has the correct connectors on both ends. Make sure you terminate properly.
Just don't buy high voltage differential devices. |
