Nicky II - how to enter passwords?
Game doesn't make it awfully clear how to access a password screen. :-\

Ah. That seems to do it. They could've at least provided an on-screen hint, the buffoons. >.<

Hmmm, it does not seem to be available on HoL:
http://hol.abime.net/963 or on Josh's website: http://amiga-manuals.xiik.net/games/L-R/index.php Lemon does not seem to hold a text version of the manual as they sometimes do: http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=782 So if you have a paper version and some time please scan it. If you have PDF or similar version please upload it. |

Well, it took me approximately 30 seconds to figure out I had to press space on the title screen to bring up the password screen... You never had crack... I mean... 'backed up' games back in the day (tm) that you had no idea how to control and no nice online community to ask? Seems like some basic Amiga gamer 'qualifications' get lost over time

Oh those were the days... No manual so you had to figure out all the in game keys and in somes cases what you were actually supposed to do, I remember learning MK moves through trial and error

I quite agree with your previous post as a way to tell MG that his comment is a bit unfair towards developers of the game but on the other hand, you can't blame MG that much for not finding a solution to his issue when there is nothing of obvious help at the "usual" resources Quote:
MK that was indeed funny and I was probably more amazed when I managed to pull out a fatality for the first time compared to for instance seeing all the fatalities of MK3 on SNES by having a magazine nearby with all the moves. Syndicate: A few things to understand first but the concept is rather simple. However, the second mission I had much more trouble, first to understand that I needed a Persuadertron. And much later I discovered that the scanner was useful for finding targets. Settlers: Nothing like a game that tries to avoid text in its interface . Some stuff like the send best/worst knights to guard houses button I never really fully understood, despite experimenting, until the day I found a manual online. Genesia: Finding how to assign settlers to a task is really not obvious without a manual (right click on the land flag IIRC), so the first tries I did, I kept having settlers who arrived (yeah!), did nothing (wth?) and died (wth?²) |
