New release time!
The pack can be now found in our downloads section. As always, make sure to peruse the readme.txt (it's too long to post here this time!) and feel free to join in in the forum with any related discussion. Enjoy... |

Never really had any idea what all this dat files are for.
Can't see that I can use them to get the tosec updates. Is there a frontend to use use with the dat files so you can download them or how do I get the updates ? |

Detection of special characters and spaces at the end of names for example, but I think to expand the capabilities of my DMS-Workshop because we also use an extended nomenclature on Amiga

The spaces issue is a known one, and its on the dev list.
I'm doing to speak to PandMonium in the next week or so anyway and (if he has time) we'll work out a schedule of fixes to begin. This is prime for that. What was the special character issue? Specifically? I didn't understand 'Note : $60 => $27' |

Oh yes.... I remember correcting a whole bunch of these manually in old DATs a few years ago.
Well, the current plan is to dump this 'low ASCII' only restriction in the TNC *in the next couple of weeks*. It is hideously archaic and I want to try and modernise these sorts of aspects in the project over the next few months. Now I've FINALLY got ALL old/abandoned DATs modernised (inasmuch as containing SHA-1 accross the board) this will be the next phase. SPECIFIC checks for char such as graves will be baked into the TDE. You have any other examples? (I have a list too somewhere!). FYI: expect in the next few months: dumping low ASCII, dumping ZZZ-UNK- (this will now be treated as a TNC fail), moving from legacy DAT -> modern XML DAT. |
