unreal was so great !!!!
Unreal was an incredible game.
It was really impressive for me it look more impressive than gears of war or the latest games. the games on amiga was so much in advance over its time than i felt it more impressive than today productions, the shift with computers before the amiga was amazing. the amiga was made in 1984 it could have been made in 1990 it would always been really great. Am i alone to think that way? why they never made unreal 2 ps:And what became the progamors of unreal, they did not make others games for the Amiga ? If not it's a shame Last edited by turrican3; 20 May 2007 at 04:10. |

I was/am still amazed about the graphics of Unreal. But it gameplay is a not the best, especially for the beautiful designed 2D levels. It's a brilliant graphic demo for me, nothing more. The programmers missed a chance for a really great fantasy action game, sadly.

I spent many times on this game when I was young. I remember it took about six hours of continuous play to get to the end the first time. Then at last, I could finish it without continues in about one hour. I'm still amazed by the graphics and music, and I think that even gameplay isn't so bad.
(It seems that I have a knack for the name "Unreal" - the PC FPS of the same name is one of my absolute favorites on that machine.) BTW, the developers of "Unreal" made the Psygnosys shooter "Agony", which has similar technical excellence but it was much less enjoyable. Last edited by Bolch; 20 May 2007 at 12:25. |

Unreal was the 3rd Amiga game i ever saw in the flesh, and it stunned me!. It was one of the reasons why i bought an Amiga besides FA/18 Interceptor, and its musics, graphics and 3D sections were pheonomenal !!!!!!! .... Its hard for to put into words how much that game impressed me, but i think you get the point. Still impresses me today!, and just shows what a class act the Amiga was/is.
And yes, they should have made an Unreal 2 and i thought that they were going too when at the end of the game it said "To Be Continued". Oh well, like Bolch said. The developers "did" do the graphics for Agony ( remember it being mentioned in WIP in CU Amiga ) but after that, i have no idea!?. They were truly talented |

Unreal is good in everything even in playability I think.I see only two defects: the last level disappoints so much in graphics and little difficulty and it's possible to be saved after each level so the game finishes too much soon.

that picture reminds me of a Doctor Who Easter Egg they did in the 80's that had to be taken off the shelves because there was a "spray" of Dalek-Laserfire coming direct from the Doctor's ... well... you can guess.
as for unreal... lovely graphics, nice music (particualrly level 1) but... dunno.. .i played it recently with fond memories and was pretty disapointed with the gameplay tbh. |

The programmers of Unreal and Agony developed some arcade titles:
http://www.klov.com/manuf_detail.php...&manuf_id=1274 Also Yves Grolet the main programmer started his career of the c64 developing 2 titles: the graphical adventure NO published by Lankhor and the conversion of Iron Lord by Ubi Soft. |

You can easily recognize his earlier work from the same visual excellence that marks Unreal...
