SWOS returns! We are doing something a little different this time, which will give players of all skill levels the opportunity to feel like a goal scoring superstar hero. There are different difficulty levels. You can increase the challenge by choosing a lower league team for extra points. Take a look at the rules for how it works. Will we see Norwich, Oxford or Hull topping the table?

Rules:

• Get the best score you can, during this round.
• Post screenshots of your score in this thread, and write the score nearby.
• Scores to be achieved without save-states, trainers, passwords, and cheats.
• No continues or infinite score leeching.

Special Rules and Scoring:

• Select DIY COMPETITION > LEAGUE
• Choose 8 teams, play each team x1, and set Points For A Win to 3.
• Leave all other settings as default.
• Select CLUB TEAMS > EUROPE > ENGLAND
• Computer teams are - Premier = CHELSEA, LIVERPOOL, WEST HAM UNITED. Division One = BOLTON WANDERERS, TRANMERE ROVERS. Division Two = CREWE ALEXANDRA. Division Three = SWANSEA CITY
• Choose ANY ENGLAND CLUB TEAM for yourself.
• Your score is based on which division your team is in.

Premier Team Score = (League Points * 3,000) + (Goal Difference * 10) + Scored Goals
Division 1 Team Score = (League Points * 4,000) + (Goal Difference * 10) + Scored Goals
Division 2 Team Score = (League Points * 6,000) + (Goal Difference * 10) + Scored Goals
Division 3 Team Score = (League Points * 8,500) + (Goal Difference * 10) + Scored Goals

• Completion star is awarded to anyone that scores over 63,000 using a division 2 or 3 team.

For those of you that enjoy recording your games we can do a little best goal competition. Post as many videos of your goals from this super league round as you like, for the fun of showing off. Then nominate your best goal by Tuesday 29th March. It would be good to say what teams are playing. If there are at least 4 people entering, I will set up a quick 4 day voting thread that ends at the same time as the round ends.

Had to try already, as it's my favourite game on any platform
Chose Chester from div3, because thought that it's one of the better sides there. League went quite well, especially happy for winning Chelsea. Only bad result was draw against Swansea, other scores were tolerable.

That's an amazing start el_pasi.

I took Blackburn Rovers out. My greatest achievement was a 2-2 draw with Liverpool. I'm getting a bit better at this. I could really do with a joystick though, mine is broken.

Thanks Biscuit I'm using now Zipstick. Have been using The Greek Stick for awhile, but diagonals aren't very good, so decided to use older stick.

I'm trying to get clean run, but seem to stumble at least two teams per league.
Got now slightly better score with Carlisle.

A friend of mine had sensi for the Megadrive, and yes, playing with a pad is not an option

I actually play with Keys. Back in the day I used a Quickshot Maverick, but when I went to uni and played this on a PC I got used to keys and now I wouldn't use anything else.

That's given me some confidence to stick with keys. It is possible. And while I'm no threat I am improving. Managed to put together a squad that feels good with Tottenham. Might take another peek at Division 1.

The surprise for me in division 1 is not Norwich or Man City, but Port Vale. give them a shot, loads of speed across the team, good velocity and finishing in the striking options. Swap porter for Walker, but otherwise a great team

This is my best recorded goal so far. It went to plan. And went in. I'd hoped to try for some more but might not get a chance as I'm feeling a bit under the weather.

Forgot to advertise that I played this on stream on Thursday night but thanks to all those who found and joined me anyway! That was tremendous fun and I really hit my straps on the second play through the league. The only blemish being a 6-2 defeat to Liverpool (who I beat in my first run). I also had the unique distraction of having to handle a couple of raids during my matches so that definitely put me off and almost cost me against Chelsea (who I beat 6-4!). It was a good distraction, just to clarify...

Good to see you two made it.

Sadly I never got round to improving my score as I've been quite ill this past week. Almost better now but that's why I've kept a low profile. I'll be much more active during the next round.

Meanwhile a few of you have pushed Sensi to the limits. Making those little premier men run crying to their WAGs because of the meanies from division 3.

el_pasi took Barnet all the way to gold. kokoriko got Hull City to silver. And LinesMachine also favoured Barnet to take the bronze. And seriously well played to everyone getting those div2 and div3 teams up the league table.
