Thanks! It does indeed crash FS-UAE on startup. Btw, the simplest config that makes it crash is:

[fs-uae]
amiga_model = A4000
kickstart_file = $BASE/AROS-68k/aros-rom.bin
kickstart_ext_file = $BASE/AROS-68k/aros-ext.bin
hard_drive_0 = $BASE/AROS-68k/AROS.hdf
jit_compiler = 1

I'll see if I can figure out what's going on here

Yes if you change jit_compiler = 1 to jit_compiler = 0, it works ! but the system starts up slowly

If you have used WinUAE, it works for JIT! The problem is only with FS-UAE.

AROS Roms are free, I don't think yours are special, they should be from an older Nightly Build "of that date", anyway I just needed them for testing.

Now i'll search through my old backups and probably i'll find them, on google you can't find them because they are part of the "free" Nightly Build, thanks anyway.

Found and tested "aros-20210207.rom" and "aros-20210207" and they also cause a crash on FS-UAE and cooprocessor error on Amilator.

So I would exclude a problem with the latest ROMs

Tried it on FS-UAE 3.1.42 and if I use JIT FS-UAE crashes, works with JIT off though too slow to use practically.

Yes indeed, on FS-UAE it works only without JIT, on WinUAE no problem and it's fast! AROS 68k without JIT is unusable !

The good news is that it works with JIT without crashing in FS-UAE 4. I bisected the changes between FS-UAE 3 and FS-UAE and found that the crashed disappeared after merging code from WinUAE 3400b5. It seems to be related to the use of the combination of UAE boot ROM and JIT.

(If you use hard_drive_0_controller=ide and no uaegx/bsdsocket => no uae boot ROM, then it also does not crash).

WinUAE 3400b5 contains quite a bit of memory-related changes, so it does not look like I can safely just add a simple fix from this version to FS-UAE 3.

Thanks now with that fix also on Amilator my AROS One 68k works perfectly with JT active.
