HippoPlayer refusing to play any mods at all now
HippoPlayer used to work fine, now suddenly it has stopped working and comes up with "Error opening file" no matter what I do
Tried DeliTracker 2.34 and that works fine with most of the mods I have (some will not play, although they do with Noiseplayer(amigados)) Ideally I would like to get HippoPlayer working again, using Snoopdos it seems to load everything it needs, but still refuses to playback any mod file I hope someone can help, or maybe tell me what files/paths it needs so I can check I have everything, But Snoopdos does not report any file open failures so I am completely lost why its suddenly stopped working Many Thanks Log: https://pastebin.com/raw/QRFre5wx Last edited by Amiga600; 09 August 2021 at 16:06. Hmm thats strange they play from RAM: but not DH0:Modules folder!?
Why is that though? - Seems rather strange why they would play from another disk?! - I am confused now.. They have played before from DH0: so this is rather strange - Edit: Deleted S:HippoPlayer.prefs file and now its working again? Bad config perhaps?! Last edited by Amiga600; 09 August 2021 at 23:09. You need to be sure that the modules added using the filerequester have an absolute path defined, otherwise HiP may not be able to open it in all cases. In the filerequester, the path field should read "dh0:Music/DrAwesome" instead of "Music/DrAwesome" to ensure things are found correctly. In the SnoopDos log it can be seen that HiP will try to open a file without an absolute path and fails. The default module dir may also be relative instead of absolute, which is why deleting the prefs and restarting might have helped. This bug/feature has been fixed in the upcoming v2.47 version :-) |
