Video capture from FS-UAE

First, let me thank all enthusiasts working to provide software and emulators and whatnot for the Amiga in 2021.

I am doing some Amiga coding again, and occasionally I want to create short videos of the FS-UAE window. I work on Linux (Ubuntu 20)

Currently, I am using the tool simplescreenrecorder to record the screen, but it is a bit cumbersome. Is it possible to ask FS-UAE to dump the contents of every Xth frame to a videofile?

I've read that Frode isn't interested in allowing video capture directly through FS-UAE. I use OBS instead whenever I intend to do that. It looks quite overbearing at first, but the quality is second to none so well worth tolerating any extra overhead. I went down the same path searching for a light alternative... and quickly hit a brick wall.

I have added support for creating simple .avi output (MPNG + wav) in a separate recording branch. So eventually, this should make its way into official builds.

Have this code made it into the main builds? I looked for it now in docs and the latest version, but could not find it. Maybe I overlooked it?
