That's correct. There isn't any graphics support in that build. But the game "booted" the scripts correctly, as you are in the right room (87 - easyhard).

I can do a build later for you if you like, which has background graphics. But you wont be able to click on anything, as that's currently being worked on. Sadly no banjo music either.

Thankyou for trying it out though. Good to know it runs on an 040 with an FPU on 3.9. Can I ask, what version/language of the game are you using?

Hi again,

I have just put up a new release on Github (https://github.com/betajaen/goodsoup...tag/v0.5.27510). It has some of the graphics now. None of the input works, (or audio). So it will just sit at that screen - forever.

If you try it out, please let me know it goes.

Awesome! Glad it works on those systems too. I have a "mere" Vampire V1200 to test on.

Same as the above ( the Assign suprized me )

Tried the game on the Amiga ScummVM-RTG
which worked until I tried to Save (see Grab)

I tried a SaveState which 'sort of' worked
IE the Sound was lost and it was a 640 screen
sitting in an 800 window

Cheers!

I am *very* close in getting the first cutscene to play - The one with the monkeys howling.

I plan to stream more of the development over the weekend.

Aww that sucks. I have never tried COMI in ScummVM on the Amiga. The non-Scumm parts of ScummVM are such a beast though.

Major success now.

It will do some of the cutscene work, and the beginning part of the game. I have massively overhauled the object system, added inventory, and scripts. I have written a major amount of code this weekend.

It is now getting to the point where the first part of the game is, with Wally and Guybrush.

Attached are some screenshots of it running on the Amiga.

Great stuff! Watched the stream where you were figuring out how to make things clickable. Seems like it worked

It did. It was immensely satisfying writing all that code since then, and suddenly it worked, but worked more than you thought.

Cheers!

Slowly getting there. As I program more, I find more and more things to implement. The engine is incredibly complicated and writing it out from scratch is difficult but do-able given enough time.

Currently, I am solving a problem with a stack-underflow, just after Wally say his lines in the first cutscene. After, I figure out what is wrong with that, I can concentrate working on graphics, and draw these characters into the game.
