Idea for a meet down south (UK)..who would be interested?

If i was to plan a meet at a suitable venue which i already have found out...who would be interested in coming?

Show off your hardware, play your favs from the demoscene...trade hardware etc.

There's is a rather cheap hotel that plays host to a computer fair on a regular basis and they supply rooms at a cheaper rate to attendees...maybe we could do the same.

Just putting out the feelers...if there's enough interest i would arrange it.

Thoughts and comments appreciated but be gentle with me

Thats great Matt, you would be the first stall i would expect to see there.
The venue i have in mind has a hall and 2 large rooms which would house a good 40-50 stalls if we talked in dealer terms....they supply all the tables and seating too.
it's actualy at the base of the hotel and is half a mile from a mainstream trainstation and around 4 miles form the motorway.

And of course there is the necessary bar for the evening

Hi All,

I'm disappointed at the sudden decline in the number of computer fairs in these parts lately. But this event sounds like it has the potential to be our very own "Amiga Fair" - even better!

I would urge anyone who supports this concept to come forward and make themselves known on this thread and, if it becomes a reality, make sure actually to attend.

PS. Car sharing arrangements seem a good idea for those of us "a little way off" from Southampton.

For the Aussies here, "down south" would stand for Adelaide or so

If you get something arranged you might want to invite some other "shops" from the SE.

I'll hunt around my list of names... see if anyone is within driving distance of southampton.
