SilverSurfer Serial card and Miami
Hi all
Is there any funny setting I need to set for the silverSurfer card to work with Miami. I installed the card using the disk provided. I have Miami setup to work with the normal serial port, I then select the to choose a Serial device, select SilverSurfer. change no settings and on every connect, it hangs the program. Changing from default serial to silversurfer gives me more options but have no idea what they are for. |

You can run MiamiInit to get the right settings. At least under Miami -Hardware definition- Type must be "serial device driver". Driver = "silversurfer.device". Unit = 0 or whatever unit you use.

So tried this out, however MiamiInit never sees the device. Has anyone got a SilverSurfer working with MiamiDX

Yep. MiamiDx + silversurfer is working fine. While MiamiInit is running you have to enter "silversurfer.device".

I did out that in but I will try it, don't suppose you could send me the silversurfer device file and config, or a screenshot of the config(hardware)

You should find the device driver here: http://www.jschoenfeld.com/products/silversurfer_e.htm
As far as I remember it is enough to copy silversurfer.device to your devs folder. |
