Good info for the CDs, but for the floppies :

I've put a text file in the CD folder with the info now

Surely those are not CD numbers, but magazine issue numbers?

To get the CD number from the issue number, just subtract 84, i.e. AFCD1 was bundled with AF85 and the last AFCD52 with AF136.

I'll add the issue numbers to the CD images... someday

Edit : Okay, I'll do it soonish. Format will be 'Amiga Format CD #01 (Issue 085 - 1996-06)' etc

Edit 2 : Done. Have a look in 'CD/Magazine Cover CD/Amiga Format' and tell me if it's okay

This all went a bit crazy didn't it?

It seems as if we are ok for Subs disks and did we end up with a complete set of AF cover disks as well...?

Was there a final list highlighting any missing before moving on to another mag...

You can find the current 'MIA' list in the first post Peter Waiting for prowler's reply and hopefully I don't have to add any subs disks

I have some good news and some bad news.

Good news : I have prepared an archive containing the missing AF057s.adf, plus the images AF081s.adf, AF082s.adf, AF083s.adf, AF084s.adf and AF085s.adf, which I shall upload to the Zone in a moment.

Bad news: The disk images in the archive were all prepared from disks I own. So far, I have been unsuccessful in extracting the DiskSqueeze archives on the server to valid disk images. Each brings up the message "Sorry, that's not a DiskSqueeze Archive!" when attempting to Unpack, View or Test them using the DiskSqueeze program.

DiskSqueeze archives are basically LZX compressed disk images and, in fact, each of these files decompresses to an "Image.dsq" file using the LZX command line tool. This confirms that the files are not corrupted. Unfortunately, the resulting "Image.dsq" files then bring up the same error message when trying to open them with the DiskSqueeze program.

This means that we are still two subscriber disks (AF086s.adf and AF087s.adf) missing unless I can extract those two DiskSqueeze archives.

Possible solution: I now have a set of five valid disk images and a corresponding set of five unextractable DiskSqueeze archives to go with them. I shall use the DiskSqueeze program to generate DiskSqueeze archives from the valid disk images and compare them with the unextractable files to see if this suggests a way of fixing the remaining two files so that they extract properly.

Of course, if someone else has the AF86 and AF87 Subscriber disks and can upload images of them, it will save me the trouble, but I shall probably have a go at this tomorrow anyway.

@prowler and TCD...

I have AF Subs disks 86 & 87... they are now uploaded to my user folder on the server...

The only missing AF Disk I have is 118a - it is uploaded as well...

Thanks, Peter!

I think I'll download them, as I'd still like to figure out why the DiskSqueeze program is rejecting those archives.

Edit: Okay, got them! You can move them now, TCD.

I was going to give you a shout but my A1200 crashed out badly tonight... I sh*t myself... it turned out to be Fusion clashing with Classic Workbench - haven't quite worked out what went wrong...?

It's OK now... teach me to mess about...

Couldn't resist to have a look and now I've got two nice DMS' sitting on my HD for AF 136 Will continue to work from the last issues up and zone batches of the found coverdisks for prowler to convert

Hey, that's great news, TCD! I'll be staying online for a bit yet, so if you upload them as you go, I'll be able to convert them in real time for you!
