Bug fixed playsid.library available on github: https://github.com/koobo/playsid.lib...laysid.library

Legend, thanks, will go play a load of sids in a large playlist and wait/hear if anything else glitches, wasnt able to manually find the tunes that glitches other than the 1 i mentioned before as i was playing random tunes at the time.

"possible" bug found, perhaps an old one rather than recent?

used the HVSC search to look for "MEGA APOC", to find Mega Apocalypse tunes, 4 show up, of those 4, the topmost DAZZ/Mega Apocalypse Remix tune works as does the bottm MC/Mega Apocalypse tune, the middle 2 however error out and skip.

so the first problem here is that 2 of those files are not recognised as sid music tunes, confirmed by manually aquiring the files and trying to load them, they say unknown format and ask you to remove from list/etc, the 2nd entry is the official rob hubbard sid tune, so surprised that one doesnt get recognised tbh (Delitracker and Eagleplayer also fails to recognise it).

second problem is that if i play the above 2 tunes that DO work, then thats fine, they download/load/play no issue, but now those 2 non working ones in the search list? if i start with the official rob hubbard tune, it loads/fails to play and hippo says "Skipping", it skips to Mac EK/Mega Apocalypse, which also isnt recognised and that file skips as well, skips to the last in the list which is the previously working MC/Mega Apocalypse, which now however locks up my emulated system completely.

So starting with 2 not recognised files which then skip down the list to a known working one causes an emulated system lockup (Tested on FS-UAE) when it eventually tries to play the previous working sid tune.

So, the mystery is afoot

Hi Koobo and all!

Another possible bug: now playing a MMD3-format MED file results in a Software Failure 8000 0005, which seems to be a "division by zero"

(This format used to play in previous versions AFAIR...)

Take care!

This one uses the octamixplayer.library for playback. Plays ok here, the lib version is 7.1. Which version do you have?

The unknown files are of the unsupported RSID format. These are intended to be run in a properly emulated C64 environment.

The error skipping problem is a good find, this has apparently broken recently and seems to crash. Will fix it!

Ah, indeed, I only have octamixplayer.library (and octaplayer.library) v7.0.
I couldn't find the 7.1 on-line, could you please share yours with me?

Thanks!

Hi Koobo!

I confirm that I got this Guru with this module and both v7.0 and v7.1 of the octamixplayer.library

There's no MuForce hit and SnoopDOS doesn't show anything weird...

Let me know how I could help you debug this!

Hi Koobo!

I just noticed that starting HiP from the CLI with the HIDE option invites a Guru 8000 0002 on my Amiga with Kickstart and Workbench v3.1. Nothing obvious from SnoopDOS...

Take care!

Does TFMX Pro require an 020+ processor?
I ask because when trying to play music on a 68000 (no problems on 030) I get this message:

Do you have a specific tune to try out? All TFMX tunes should work on 68000.

OS3.2.1/Emulated when HippoInfo window is open, the scrollwheel makes the vertical slider go up and down but the text remains unmoving, if i click/hold lmb on the slider and move up/down then the text moves as usual.

I tried playing music from Jim Power and Logical.
Config - WinUAE, A600, OS3.2 and OS 3.2.1, kick 3.2 and 3.2.1.

Updated:
I ran some additional tests on an A600 configuration, OS 2.1, kick 2.05 and here's what I found: up to version 2.52 it works fine. Version 2.53 crashes system when loading HippoPlayer.group. Version 2.54 and 2.55 same thing happens as I showed in previous post.

Update 2: During testing, another problem arose: I load files into HiP, save playlist, set Startup playlist in preferences, and after restarting, it does not load playlist and does not start playing music. All time the same configuration.
