Snes/Megadrive emulators with a slowdown function?

i am searching for some Snes or Megadrive emulators that have a deep 'WinUAE like' setting;
expecially some option to decrease the framerate, to slowdown the action;

i would like to finally reach to pass some personally stuck points in many never completed hard console games

+ starting senile effects lol

Do you know of any?

i have found also a Megadrive emulator with that function, Regen;
but seems my PC does not like it, the interface works but as soon as i launch whatever rom the program just quits, also without any info or error shown or saved into the gamefiles folder

i'll check better later if i miss something important to config

---
MD emulators i have already tested (no slowdown function it seems) :

Fusion
Gens
Gens+
Gens Surreal
Blastem

Solved the Regen issue, seems the emulator has problems with some ROM types, expecially if in .BIN format (despite that is included in the compatibility list)

also a bit strange the output speed range setting

100%, 50%, 45%, 40% ect until 3%

nothing between 100% and 50%

---

btw case closed, BSNES and REGEN are the choices

Regen is a very accurate emul but it have lot of bugs and lacks essential functions which I use/like

1: in my Xbox pad I can't use the DPAD and ANALOG pad together, I have choose one or the other when I define ,and the redefine keys section is very buggy btw

2: lacks video filters as super eagle or super2xsai,hq2x etc ... games looks so blocky or so blurry without those

3: there are bugs related to fullscreen, sometimes it crash, the pentium 3 version without SSE is better and crash less

in my opiñon the best overall emul for megadrive: bizhawk

i have a crappy pc here, the multi-core emulators performs not greatly;
btw Bizhawk seems not so big like ie Retroarch (size talking), i'll try how does it run here

seems it does use the Genesis plus GX core for the MD emulation, like Retroarch

i'll report also if i will encounter some Regen bugs too
well, the roms type already described previously could be one lol

thanks

please note that I use bizhawk 2.3 version because I found that some genesis roms not working in versions > 2.3
perhaps you can test it and confirm this to me? : thanks

anyways I recommend you bizhawk 2.3 and the firmware collection for 2.3

btw, bizhawk is not very big in size not like retroarch, emul which I do not like

yes is better not to talk about the things that work bad

btw, another function which I value in emuls which most of them does not have is the posibility to configure joy buttons for loading and saving quick-save states

when is possible in my case I always config left and right thumb buttons in my xbox pad to load and save quick states ie winuae,bsnes,bizhawk etc
