I think the small dimms are simms.
And 32 mb is a nice amount for sure - i think 16 or 8mb was more common at the time.
Sb16 is nice. S3 trio I never come across but heard bad things about!
Looong time since I've seen one of those old style keyboard connectors
Is it a decent sized hard drive?
What are your plans for it?

just to have as close to as backwards compatible as a 486 as possible to be honest :-) with the 51/4 inch drive i thought it was honestly That being said with it Being a Pentium and having Pci a Voodoo Card would surely be great (Though unlikely, Unless i come across a Oem Variant which i think is HP i may be Wrong). For Definite its gonna see Duke and the Doom guy as Well, Oh and Wolf3d and ROTT (Rott is Installed by law on all Systems i adore that Whacky Game :-)
and i wanna Eventually get it Dual Booting with Native Dos 6.22 and Windows 3.11as im quite Nostalgic for it with it being my First os at home. With it Being Pentium Socket 7, I imagine the Drive will have 95 i may be wrong though maybe it is 3.11 for all i know

That Dreaded Chunky Connector
although there was a loose Cable with the stuff with the same Connector on each end could i jerry rig it to be a ps2 adapter maybe?

im sorted for a mouse as i have serial (Thank god)

Also will be Posting More Goodies today i just Keep getting Realloy Crap Picture Results so trying again today

I have plenty of pci usb 1.0 and 2.0 cards and if i can get the serial mouse to work at least and it is windows 95, would be able to install Driver etc and then at least have a keyboard until i get a proper adapter

Here's my latest PC build. 386SX running at a stonking 16MHz, with a massive 512k RAM and awesome Trident 9000i 16 bit VGA card. This is going to make my Amigas look like shit!

Well you can run the awesome Wordperfect 6.0 (or 5.5? Don't remember) on it. Eat dirt, Amiga.

Right... how many games you can run on 512KB?!

At least you are meeting requirement for Win 1.0 and DOS 3.0.

I remember about a decade ago one night walking home from work I saw a PC in the front garden. It had only just started snowing so if I had been 15 minutes late I probably wouldn't have seen it.

The HDD was removed but apart from that it was a complete tower PC with Athlon XP3800+ or something similar and it still had RAM in it (4gb I think) and it all worked, even the DVD RW drive worked fine. All I did was stick an old IDE HDD I had spare and put XP SP1 on there, then Win 7 trial/beta edition and I still have it to this day. Amazing what people threw away.

OK the A500 looks like a melted pre-yellowed C128 but it's not shit.

Here is some VGA vs A1000 mythbusting again

Recently been on a bit of a classic PC binge, finally got screamer 2 and screamer rally working acceptably on a win98 box (after about 20 years of fiddling - no joke) - had some unfinished business with screamer 2 and finally finished it. Also played through Tomb Raider again for the first time since back in the day. Still a surprisingly decent game to play through even today, no wonder it blew people's socks off on release. Shame all the sequels were yawn. To top it off, also played through Doom for the first time since the early-mid 90's, damn that is one good game. Those pinkies, that shottie. The level design, the character design, the sound design. They really nailed everything in that game. Loved it.
And thanks to Bruce I've also spent several hours on the DOS version of SimCity (after several hours getting the thing working with a graphics card bios patch). Still a very engaging game.
And I had a few rounds of solitaire. You know what I forgot? Minesweeper.

Hope nathanm1991 is well.

Less than you can run on a 512k Amiga I bet.

But this problem will be solved soon. I just bought an old 486 which should be delivered next week. Doesn't go, but has four 8 bit SIMMs in it. Hope they work! This machine will provide a mini tower case for the 386SX too.

Wot, try to get the 486 going instead? No way! It's not retro enough for me.

Recently I've found about the NuXT - https://monotech.fwscart.com/NuXT_v2..._19777986.aspx

It's much cheaper than MiSTer or Apollo V4+, and you can experience real XT power on SVGA display. And new modern technology like Compact Flash, so no more magnetic media or error prone HDD.

For sub 400 € (Including shipping) it's a steal.

If i get correctly Bruce was sarcastic but movie above is a bit unfair.
Easily you can on standard VGA launch non-standard video mode with higher number of lines like 320x400 so get close to Amiga lowres interlace, additionally obviously poor resampling algorithm was used (bilinear?) to create VGA screen, side to this obviously poor color quantization algorithm was used on PC - if you get chance to Image Alchemy then i recall it will deliver way higher quality (for resampling and color quantization) than provided on movie. So in overall PC will be on pair with Amiga.
