No GNG version allow to jump and turn correctly. There is something weird in the game engine about this. Maybe Stingray will stick it

in the beta version which just uploaded Retroplay ....that movement works very well
but the complete name of that movement is jump & turn & shoot
cause jump and turn will not work if you don't shoot in the air

also in this beta now 2nb button joystick works fine
hoowever..this beta version lacks some sound effects and there are strange noises during the game

I hope that Stingray can make a full miracle

This version doesnt work very well for me -bad sound........
as I remeber this was just a test to see if it made any difference to Pause bug.

As far as I can tell the jump and turn was added by JOTD as it doesnt seem to exist in the origanal crack but not mentioned in his readme - was this jump and turn possible in the Aracde?

yes ... in the original arcade exists the jump/turn I don't know why on the original amiga version doesn't works...maybe it's a keyboard bug or something like that

Ok, played through Dlfrsilver's version today. Works until the end. Also has additional sounds the version I played back in the day did not have. Is it really too odd to suspect Elite were knowing what they were doing? The game is really hard and barely offers additional lives - I would never ever have seen the ending without the cheat. So why not publish the version unfinished, maybe the team did not meet the deadline?

This version has
- the last two levels
- additional sound effects
- works on machines with no ranger mem (and as Stingray said has two executables)

I found a little bug at the end of level two (?, blue cave, with the first centipede-like dragon), see photo:

Not sure if this is a CDTV specific bug (CDTV roms disabled, machine has 2MB chip, 2MB fast). But was able to continue playing blindly, did work again when the level ended.

And then... worked till the end.

Jump&turn&shoot does not work. At least did not find a way to do so.

Anyway, this version is fine & complete.

Hm. Did you play on a CDTV? Maybe it's just machine specific. I mean... seems all data and sound effects are there. So this really is a good copy.
