Seems 68060 is hard to get these days (if you want rev. 6) and prices is skyrocketing
The Warp1260 could come to prices above €600-€700 with CPU |

well that is deliveryissues of the components needed to build the boards.
I however can bery much put my hands on my warp.. and there are people who are getting them. problem is that they cannot get the components needed to build more right now. |

Good for you! Most can’t unfortunately so, at the end of the day, who cares.
The best solution for new accelerators is to replicate CPU’s via FPGA or similar, as we are staring to see happen more and more these days. That can be just as “real” as an original CPU. Last edited by sean_sk; 14 June 2021 at 17:21. |

Perhaps the silver lining for CS-Lab in the midst of this chip shortage is that they can take a break from hardware production and focus on Warp firmware and AmigaOS integration. Plenty of time-consuming work there, with a big payback for all current and future Warp card owners.

It's barely even on sale yet. Preorders are being fulfilled, but mass availability is not yet there.

Regardless of the chip shortage, it's still for the happy few/elite only with connections due to the 060 availability/price.

An internet connection is needed to ebay, and some patience to wait for there to be 060s available from the chinese. That's how I got mine.

Elite? you mean people that was thinking "better buy a 060 now so when there is a solution available I got one?"
some did think like this. some not. some of those is those who got a warp now. or a TF1260. thinknig that 060s would be available forever is just well. shortsighted. nothing "elite" with that. or even "lucky".. just thinking ahead. |

Many of the people who have the TF1260 ( and there are many) more often than not already had a 060, it was not hard to think ahead and buy one in preparation as Chucky says.
And as for Elite that is a perpetuated urban myth..nothing is further from the truth |

New Warp 1260
Got a couple of full 060s at “human” price, when 060 rumours of upcoming expansions surfaced back in 2018 or 2019.
Even now, a LC or a full CPU “earlier revision” is available at a reasonable price. Rev 6 indeed skyrocketed, but that’s offer and demand. Last edited by RoC; 02 July 2021 at 19:02. |
