No, it was similar to most of the snail racing games - side view of the track, where 4 or 5 snails were racing from (i think) right to left, each in its own lane. Before the race you distributed a food to your snail (lettuce, sugar, cabbage) and then the race begins, without any player intervention. The food was IIRC the only aspect you can change.
