Annihilation - playtesters needed

I would post this in the main forum but I'd rather try here first, otherwise I'll probably get tons of responses from people I'll never hear from again.

Anyone willing to help playtest Annihilation? I'd probably need about 4 or 5 people ideally, with different setups to try the game on (it's AGA only), preferably real Amigas, but it's not essential.

I'm currently developing the game on an 040 with 34Mb RAM and OS3.0, so any setups other than that one will be fine, including just a bog-standard 1200.

Basically, I need feedback on what's good and bad, ideas for waves and bosses, bug reports etc. If anyone's interested please PM or e-mail me, and let me know if you want an ADF or "real" files. Thanks!

I'm sure you can wait until Saturday, haven't got a copy with me at the minute! Will definitely get it sorted for then.

Did you copy the contents of the Fonts drawer to your Workbench partition's Fonts: directory? It won't start otherwise.

ok Graham sent me a file missing from the archive: the game works ok, there is some speed and audio perplexity i cannot further test as my pc may be the cause. the control is very good i think and some audio effect really neat. graphics need a major restyling. also i find it a little hard.
the power ups seems to come by randomly, i.e. not the same add-onn gets out from the same enemies wave each time. at least i think so, i wasn't able to kill all of the enemies of the waves often. this is a good thing however. the numbers display and text should be reworked also, i will do it if i can find the time.

Many thanks, that would be very helpful indeed. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy sometime next week. In the meantime you could always try the one-level demo on Aminet (game/demo/Annihilation.lha) and of course my latest game, a 2-5 player game called Tank Wars (game/2play/TankWars.lha) (Shameless plugs, I love 'em)

I played this game through UAE. It ran fine, although it sometimes was too fast and sometimes slowed a bit. I'll burn it to a CD and test it on my CD32 soon.

It's hard though, maybe because the ship is fast or the controls too sensetive, but I'm not sure if that's because of UAE or not.

Good work though, I want to help get this game finished.
