Progressive Peripherals & Software DoubleTalk Drivers
Oddly enough, several people, including myself, are looking for the Install or Driver disk for the PP & S DoubleTalk Zorro II board that allows a network connection between Amigas and Macintoshes, I even have the Interact A500 expansion (with drivers) that allows the A500 to connect to this Apple devised network -- the Interact expansion by DigiFlex had photos and drivers uploaded to archive.org last week.
There is a "Wanted" listing on Amibay, and even a YT video by someone else looking for the installation disk. It would be great if one could be located and uploaded to Turran or archive.org. Thanks! |

I don't have an original disk, but I *do* have installed files from a hard drive that came in an A2000 I got some years ago - in the Zone.
I *think* copying the archive contents to SYS: will get you going, but I'm not certain. I hope I didn't miss any files when copying them off the drive. I can't find my full backup and the drive is unlikely to spin up again... |

Thanks Matt_H! I'll give these a go.
I'm the one that posted the YouTube video ( [ Show youtube player ] if anyone's curious). I've been doing some LocalTalk networking recently with old Macs and Apple ]['s. I'd really like to see how I can integrate my Amiga's into that network. Thanks, -xlark |

This is great, you are a real Amiga hardware guru. If not done already, I'll upload these to Archive.org to join the DigiFlex Interact expansion for the A500 I uploaded earlier. -bdb |

Took me a while, but I was able to get around to testing this.
Good news: I extracted the whole archive to sys: and then assigned NWK: to sys:network After that, I was able to see my System 7 Mac on using the Network Manager. I could log into it and mount AppleShare volumes. I could then use those volumes like regular Amiga volumes. These AppleShare network volumes seem to be pretty stable as well, too. This is amazing! Bad news: That's about all I was able to do. Most other programs throw a guru, and I can't figure out how to share volumes in the other direction (i.e. Amiga->Mac). Seems like I should be able to do this with what's in the archive you saved @Matt_H. This software was definitely designed for Amiga OS 1.3, probably with a 68000 or '020 at most. Part of me suspects that the guru errors I'm seeing are a result of trying to run this on an '060 w/ Amiga OS 3.2. I may try to see if I can downgrade my Amiga 2000 see if I can make some headway with the other functionality. |

@ xlark
The machine I got the software from was running 2.x and an 030, so you probably don't need to go all the way back to 1.3 and 000, but yeah, 3.2 and 060 might be too much for it. |

I think it was the '060 that was the problem. Disabling my accelerator and booting just with the 68000, and everything seems to work.
I was able to share volumes Mac->Amiga and Amiga->Mac. Thanks so much for saving these! I'm going to keep on my hunt for a manual and original disk, though...there's definitely some peculiarities with the software that a manual might help explain...and I'm curious if the original disks maybe included a devkit or something like that. |

Hey @bdb: The ADF you uploaded to archive.org (https://archive.org/details/double-talk-install) was that just the files from Matt_H wrapped in an ADF?
I want to make sure I'm not missing anything there.... |

There's a little install script included.
