Eye of the Beholder Portrait Question

I know portraits in EOB and EOB II can be modded, although I don't have much experience in how it's actually done. But I was wondering if it would be possible to take Amber's portrait from EOB2 and use it in EOB1. I've tried importing it using the Westwood editor but although her hair comes in fine, her face is nothing but a white blur. Any idea how to fix it or a better way to convert portraits?

I'd already read through it but he didn't seem to give any actual steps for editing EOB1 portraits or converting portraits from EOB2 to EOB1.

What do you mean by white blur? Is it some kind of palette mismatch?

There are color palette differences between EOB1 and EOB2. Many colors are the same, but a few have changed.

yeah that's why a screenshot would be conclusive, as, in such a case as a mismatch, without a manual edit of the portrait in a painting app supporting the palette format, there's nothing to be done.

I don't remember, though, whether the AGA versions of the games share the same palette between the chargen portraits, it could be easier to use that version of EoBs.
