I used to have an original of this. It is heavily copy-protected...

Thats cuz of the copy protection being imaged as well as the standard disk image

so is it possible to rewrite this copy protection back to a floppy .. i just tried the large adf image from the zone and the resultant floppy did`nt boot and whdload would`nt run it either

The adf I uploaded does work with UAE.
I just had a go at running the WHD installer and it doesn't seem to support this version. I don't know of any way of writing a "custom" adf image back to disk. Over the next few days I'll try to image the disk with MFMWarp, and if that works you should be able to write it back to disk. |

Check the zone.
MFMWarp is on the Aminet incase you don't have it. |

did u get this to work with whdload ? .. it still says corrupt data disc/unsupported version here ... i did notice that the timebandit installer actually extracts an image from the floppy this time (it never got that far with the adf versions !) ..
i`m not using the registered whdload by the way .. does that matter ? |

Oh, now I see why the uncracked version was so important to you!
Like I said earlier, the current WHD slave doesn't support the version I have. I made the MFM image because I thought you were interested in playing from floppy on a real Amiga if WHD didn't work. I seem to remember the game only needed to load once, so you won't be missing much if you do play from floppy. I haven't tried it on an AGA machine, but it works on ECS machines if you softkick kickstart 1.3 Does anyone else have a version that works with WHD?? ahhh right !! ... i would`nt mind playing it from floppy either !!! but i can`t use any kind of soft kickstart 1.3 as its a slightly accelerated amiga 1200 (030) ... well i`ve tried tude and relokick and both run time bandit at like 1 frame a second .. lol ..
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6824 i guess i`ll have to get hold of an ecs machine sometime anyway thanks for taking time out on this .. appreciated regards |
