WTB - Genuine 2mb Chip Ram A4000

Hi!

At the moment I'm using 8mb double sided as my Chip Ram, I want to rule out this as causing my Memory issues, anyone here have a genuine 2mb Chip Simm for A4000 they could sell me?

Can pay paypal or trade other small items

Steve.

Hey FOL,

I tried a bunch of 4mb Simms, most I could get to work was 8mb after that yellow screens.

I find most stable with just 4mb Motherboard fast but I've started getting lockups.

I have Z3 Fastlane with 128mb and overclocked A3640 so these could also be causing the lockups - time for a full strip down which is why I wanted the genuine 2mb Chip to rule that out.

All this is in an Elbox Power Tower so its a job for the weekend!

Edit:

Battery was removed before I got this board, I don't know the history but it looks clean.

I was using it with 8mb Motherboard Fast + Z3 Fastlane working fine but started to play up recently.

At the time I got it (6 months ago?) I never had the full 16mb to test it.

Cheers,

Steve.

If battery has leaked, it could have damaged the latching chip, next to it.
This could cause memory problems.
