Hello everyone, sorry I have not been very active on here for a while, I have been going through some personal troubles...but life continues! And so does development on Scourge of the Underkind!

I have been sketching the artwork ideas for the packaging and also experimenting with creating the big-box version too which may or may not go into production, the cost of those things wouldn't be cheap and the time taken to make them is considerable...but they do look awesome.

Magnus has been testing bosses out, with their attack patterns etc and we have some brilliant and genuinely exciting creations to show you...when the time is right
Our game will feature mini-bosses as well as end of level/world bosses.

There's still a long way to go on this, we're not looking at a release this year...more than likely next year.
I am NOT taking pre-orders, I'm sorry, at this stage anything can happen and we'll only start taking orders when we have a finished game ready to ship.

I believe we're making something very special for the Amiga and cannot wait to get it out to you guys and the Amiga community.

Stay tuned.

So... I completely missed this thread - for shame!

[ insert game of thrones walk of shame here ]

(what where you thinking )

And I also find out that the primary artist is also on my Facebook!

I think there is just to much talent in one man there - if anyone gets a chance - have a lookie at the latest "Starwars Millennium Falcon Painting" - not sure if its on Waynes store - it should be however!

This is quite a delightful project and one that really does artistic and programming justice to Amiga Games of the 90's! Had I of seen this in HOL first I would of thought it a commercial release that I had missed!

Looks great indeed and the fact you are bringing out a physical product - If I could have mine signed by the developers involved - I will certainly be having one of those!

Thanks for the updates Wayne - all the best with this

Keith

That is an incredibly kind thing to say, I am glad you enjoy my artwork!
The Falcon prints are on my website and are available to buy.

I will be looking to travel to Sweden next year to meet with the legendary programmer Magnus (we still haven't met yet) and I will see about getting a very limited number signed...we'll see what happens but any details I have I will add to this thread and also post to Facebook (for my fellow retro-heads)

Thanks again for the incredibly kind words. They mean a lot to me.

Hello to anyone who is following this

I am currently in the middle of a week off work and throwing myself into the graphics for this project. Magnus has all but exhausted my graphics and had to draw some placeholders for some of the newer features (he's not bad at all really!)...

Well, this week we concentrated on creating the basic look for the shop, working out the logistics of what goes where and it's looking mighty fine.

I'd like to introduce the Shopkeeper. His face is animated etc, so he comes to life.

Again, work continues at the fastest pace we're able...but we're a long way off finishing the game.

For any general questions please consult the F.A.Q

I had to keep the animation size down whilst giving him as much character as I could. He will say some epic stuff when he chats to the player...(he's a shifty sod too).

"Enjoy your purchase! May you bathe in the blood of your enemies! If that's your sort of thing...'

That's just one of his lines, I enjoy writing for him.

Very cool Yes, that shopkeeper got some chaos engine vibe and I think it's good. He also look bit nomadic like merchant who travel a lot, maybe steam-punk fantasy or maybe little post-apocalyptic. He would fit perfect in Black Viper or Burntime.

What?!

I have to defend gamers who likes a challenge here, needs to be hardcore difficulty requiring oldschool skills, adding difficulty levels might be a good idea/compromise to suit all types.

I'd love this as a cd32 version even if it wasn't enhanced, been a long time in since I had a new CD32 jewel case on my own shelf.
