Flying Shark SE
At the request of Per-Ola Eriksson, here's a fairly minor update to an OK game. I've only given it these updates: 1. Some easter egg text that was hidden in the title screen is now revealed! The text was there all along but drawn in a black colour, so I've changed it to white. 2. Second button maps to bomb for CD32 and Mega Drive type pads. Note that you can still use space to bomb. 3. Autofire enabled to save AmigaBill's fingers (testing Apidya was agony for him on a live stream!). But IMO it also makes it more pleasant to play. I've just provided an ADF to the Zone - Hungry Horace may adapt these changes to the WHDLoad slave as custom options. I may do a couple more tweaks if anyone can suggest any, but I can't really come up with anything. If you DO want to try this out in WHDLoad, just replace the WHDLoad image with the ADF (rename flyingshark.adf to disk.1) /Note to any mods that might see this - should these sorts of things go under CARE forum instead? If so, I'll find all of the threads I've made about SEs and make a request for them to be moved |

Thanks a lot. I have tried it out and everything is working perfectly.
I like the second button map for the bomb |

Not my favorite game, but this is very good hack, it should be done long time ago.

Thanks guys
One thing I wanted to note, it's a PAL game but in an NTSC screen, so it can be played in NTSC but there's no scaling so it runs 1/6th faster. The two difficulty options seem to only differ based on speed, so for the ultimate challenge you can combine NTSC and hard difficulty. Pretty fast but utterly hard. |

Tested in WHDLoad on WinUAE, autofire is ok but 2nd button doesn't work.
Now i have to test it on real A1200 desktop. |

Ok, on real A1200 with Kipper PSX adapter (cd32 mode) 2nd button is ok.
On WinUAE, even if i set standard joystick, gamepad or cd32pad it doesn't work. |

That's odd.. I can't explain that. WinUAE has been the only environment that I've actually tested it in personally! In any case, I'm glad it works on the real hardware, thanks for testing

Anyway the ADF in WinUAE works well, only WHDLoad installed game has problem with 2nd fire button.
Thanks again for this very useful option. I must prefer to play only on real Amiga |

Huh.. that is really odd.. I really cannot explain that. But I'm glad that it works in any case, I'm going to see if someone will add those features to the official whdload slave.

No libraries, just reading and writing the registers directly, I used tthis thread as a guide.
