Copying pinball dream and fantasies hiscore table.
Hi, i transfered pinball dreams and fantasies from the tosec set and i'm now looking for a program to copy my old hiscore tables on the new discs.
Which copier is the more appropriate to do this ? Thanks a lot for your help ! |

The disks aren't AmigaDOS formatted (at least the cracks that I checked), so you can't just replace the files. Maybe Galahad or JOTD can help you.

AFAIR Pinball Dreams saves the highscores on the last track of disk 2. Shouldn't be much of a problem to code a small tool to transfer them.

You're right unfortunatly, i checked them yesterday...
A solution would be to play and make a record using my original version then swap the discs just before hiscore saving. The problem is that my brother was a champion and the first scores in all the tables are very high (several hundred of millions for the hardest one and more for others, argh !)... Do you think swapping discs would ? Thanks for your help. |

Easiest solution: Use a copy program which allows you to select the tracks to copy. Then just select track 79 and copy it to your disk.

Thanks StingRay, you mean that the hiscore tables are located on the track 79 on pinball dreams and fantasies (ocs version) right ?
Easy to do this with x-copy if i understood what you said. |

Yes, that's what I mean. It should work for Pinball Dreams at least. Can't remember if it was the same for Pinball Fantasies but it's worth a try.

Marvellous, everything seems ok for Pinball Dreams.
Now I can play to the fourth table without bugs and with our hiscore table (the leds stopped twinkling in my old version). Can you check if that trick works for Pinball Fantasies (if it takes you a few time of course) ? A big thank ! |

Had a quick look, seems Pinball Fantasies saves the highscores on track 1 of disk2/3.

Hi all, i need some help for a little task^^.
Would someone be kind enough to help me to transfert my Pinball Fantasies hiscores table to the final release version by Skidrow ? I join below my discs set, ripped from my floppies played in the 90s. My discs are the pre-release Skidrow version and were 100% working (hundreds of hours of play) but some tracks are now damaged. The disc 1 seems not to match the pre-release Skidrow one in the actual TOSEC set. I tried to copy my tracks 1 from discs 2 and 3 to the TOSEC files "Pinball Fantasies (1992)(21st Century)(pre-release)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr SR]" and "Pinball Fantasies (1992)(21st Century)(pre-release)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr SR]" but it failed (loading freezed on the newly copied track 1). It didn't work too when i tried to copy my tracks 1 to the final release discs "Pinball Fantasies (1992)(21st Century)(Disk 2 of 4)[cr SR]" and "Pinball Fantasies (1992)(21st Century)(Disk 3 of 4)[cr SR]" (same freeze). I would want to transfert my hiscores to the final release, if possible, since this set has the extra menu music. Thanks in advance for your help ! |

I suggest using the WHDLoad versions of these games, then you can use the MCE program to edit the high scores as desired.

Thanks Minuous but no i don't want to use WHDLoad otherwise i wouldn't use ADF files.
I want to run them from real floppy on my real A500. Can someone help me to copy my hiscore tables so ? |
