Creating .lha achieve

Hi all,

I'm trying to convert .adf and .hdf to .lha to use it with A500 mini.

Anyone knows how I can do it using a PC?

I searched the internet, but unfortunately wasn't able to get anything simple.

You can download the LHA MS-DOS version QUI from Aminet, it is a self unpacker, which once clicked you will get LHA.EXE

You can use LHA from CMD on Windows, if you are not handy, you can use LHA.EXE with a simple Click with TotalCommander, see screenshot "

There is Izarc for Windows that will create and handle LHA and many other archive formats.

Thank you for your help

I tired this option and converted .adf to .lha, but unfortunately the A500 Mini couldn't recognize the file.

Any suggestions ?

I downloaded the msdos-lha.exe, but it is not working with Windows 10

The totalCommander needs the lha.exe to do the job.. Any suggestion?

lhmelt.. https://micco.mars.jp/english/lhmelt_e.htm
under settings for creating lzh files.. make sure it set to lh5 maximum.., which is compatible with lha 2.2 for the amiga

on the main lhmelt screen.. SET tab.. select archive type.. LZH.
on the main lhmelt screen.. ELSE > set archive > set lzh archive
header type h1(LHa) Method lh5 (deafult:8k) or lh6 (32kb)
then rename from .lzh to .lha
Personally created a LHA file using lhmelt.. and then copied to winuae.. and tested with lha 2.2 which can extract the same archive it can also do lh6.. but not lh7

explzh is also another one that creates lzh files.
https://www.sac.sk/download/pack/explz867.exe x86 version
https://www.sac.sk/download/pack/exlz867x.exe x64 version

another option.. winuae.. and use amiga lha 2.2 on the emulator.

Try this LHA.EXE :

http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/lha.htm

Or install IZArc (Free), GUI that supports LHA:

https://www.windows10download.com/izarc/

Doesn't the A500 Mini rely on WHDLoad in order to load games ?
If that's the case, archiving an adf or hdf as an lha archive isn't the solution.

To sort that you need a Workbench setup to install and archive the game with a slave, worst case scenario if one doesn't exist, a generic slave.
