Said game doesn't require 1MB to work (whether chip + slow or 100% chip). Could be worth asking Toni his opinion about why it does that but concerning the issue I raised per se, only Flashtro member(s) who coded the crack before releasing their version of Gemini Wing can do something about it.

Just use IPF #0833, it's the Psygnosis re-release without any disk protection!

i'm testing all the adf's in the Tosec (with trainer, because the game require some help to be better played)
both Electronic Zoo and Team17 releases

now, the only version than can be completed seems this one :
Cardiaxx (1991)(Electronic Zoo)[cr IP][t +4 IP]

but it's also the more picky to be loaded, requiring a 1.x kickstart and 1MB (512k + 512k slow mandatory)

all the other cracks load also with 512k, but are highly unstable, crashing or freezing when on later levels (and the game has only four in total) :

Cardiaxx (1993)(Team 17)[cr TRSI][t +13 DLT][budget]

using the original Team17 ipf, and an a500+ default configuration

differently from the Tristar crack, the ipf seems allows also other hw conf (as boot loading at least)
but seems somewhat broken too

wondering if it's just a configuration related bug, or something worse

can the freeze state be useful?

i'll quote myself, just to point out the solution
this picky version require to disable the 24 bit address in WinUAE to not hang in further levels

a 100% drive compatibility and a 68000 standard hardware is mandatory too, btw i was already using these options
