lo! i forgot about that game... it was a tie in of a monthly (or weekly?) publication born on the hype for Lone wolf books and similia. it was that kind of publication that you see in the stores for 2 weeks then, if you want to collect it, you have to subscribe it.
the first issue landed in my house and i tryed to figure what the heck it was, there was no hint on how to play it (it was an interactive game booklet) or what the fun was supposed to be. however the illustrations were cool. the game was sported in the tv ad, but supposedly it was a crap. i want to try it though, thanks for the finding! |

Nice find with the game.
CD32 SDK and Devcon disks are on the Developer CD, so that information was available already |

Repeating again:
There is NO PUBLIC CD32 or CDTV hardware documentation. (of course there must be "secret" internal hardware info but nobody has leaked it) |

You guys might want to contact Old Games Italia.
They're an Italian translation group, they did a very professional job with my game (for free). |

Otherwise, if somebody provides me the text strings to translate I can try to give it a go.
But it must be done by somebody able to reverse engineer the game... |

Hi, I'm happy to read you are excited by "La Storia Ancestale".
There's no need to make reverse Engineering, because I can provide the sources if someone is interested. I was the game designer and the programmer for the Amiga version. I own the sources of the MS-Dos version too. The Amiga version was developed using AmigaE, and the PC version using Turbo Pascal. Bye Fabrizio |

Text is not very much, less than an A4 page.
But it's inside the code, into arrays, so the translator have to carefully modify the sources. Really, I could do it if I'd enough time, but not at the moment. To rebuild the sources will not be very easy too. We should find the correct version of AmigaE, and couple of parts are in ASM (probably developed using AsmOne). I don't think it's impossibile, but we need someone with the right expertise and *A LOT OF TIME*. Right now, I don't have time. |
