Demo Maniac DOC Files

Hey guys!

Looking around the internet and I am hoping that someone here may have a copy of the various doc files that were supplied with Demo Maniac:

Dev Docs for creating Effects
Vector Docs (I can only find the German version)

As I am learning 68kASM for Amiga I thought this might be a nice aside intro to getting some code chops up...

(Also does anyone know if the Demo Maniac Font Convertor was ever finished / released? or what format it is in? I have tried a number of diff exports from Kefrens IFFCONV but to no avail)

I seem to think that there were some instructions on one of the LSD doc disks, but I could be mistaken (it was a long time ago)

That may be a good place to begin.

Thanks for the heads up! I have been keen to get back into the disk mags! I still read Defy / CDN as I got a mention when I joined the group (Cydonia)

I have the orginal of this boxed (must be a rarity?). Anyway i've checked and the only thing in there is the user manual which states to get the dev docs to make extra effects required registering the product. Since I bought it from ebay I can't help you there so I guess docs disks are probably going to be the only option as I doubt this program was a big seller.

Wow! Yeah that’s pretty rad hmmm I wonder who the devs were in the ‘scene then and wether we can get in touch somehow! Man... even though I have been learning 68kASM for a while now and re-formatting some docs from the olde dayz

I think it mentions that the custom routines can be written is ASM... just need the ‘templates’

I have a boxed one as well! I snagged mine from somewhere that would be the last place you would ever expect it to be! I remember buying it alongside a huge roll of 3 1/2" disk labels. Something that was unheard of even back then lol!

I suppose you are referring to [ Show youtube player ] ?
If so I might can help. I do not have the source of the Tool itself, but code for some of the effects. You would need Devpac (it might also work with VASM).
