Slam Tilt & Pinball Illusions, selection problems
Hi guys,
Decided to give originally Slam Tilt,& then Pinball Illusions a try & ended up with suspiciously similar problems with both. The main problem is I can't scroll through the main Title screen selections, for example to change to a new Table. Clicking the mouse doesn't work, (nor the WinUAE Configuration B keyboard "joystick"fire). The only functioning keyboard controls on the title screen is pressing the space bar or Enter. It'll bring up the options then, but nothing else I press on the keyboard,(or via my mouse) can then scroll through either game's options. For the actual default tables I load up on each, they operate fine, Enter launches the ball & Alt keys for flippers etc. Tried using WinUAE 0822r7,0822r8,& even old venerable 088r8. One slight difference I noticed with Slam Tilt using 088r8, was the mini-intro screen went through its full startup which it seems to skip using 0822r7 & r8. I'll up my config, but as you'll see nothing too dramatic. I did try "Cycle exact CPU & Blitter" for variation to no avail. Using 1996 Tosec DLM crack of Slam Tilt,& 1995 Tosec PDX crack of Pinball Illusions. Config works with other games no problem on the aformentioned WinUAE versions. Any thoughts? |

Like I said Bippy, config/versions fine for other stuff I've tried just not these two.
Hang on,found something interesting! Bippy, what option do you use under Amiga Port 1? Found Keyboard Layout "A",& Keyboard Layout "C" both allow you to scroll through the options properly, like you say, but my normal choice Keyboard Layout "B" does NOT allow you scroll through the options. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Never encountered a game which required you to choose a particular keyboard layout to work properly! |

I presume it is necause Kb layut B uses the cursor keys to control joystick directions..
So pressing cursor up=joystick up |
