If a game needs a floppy disk to save games, I think WhdLoad creates a slave one.

The whole point of WHDLoad is to avoid using the floppy for anything other than installing a game.

Some installs will cater and install save game disks, others won't.

I have copied my Frontier: Elite II save game file from my disk to the save game Data folder in the WHDLoad version

if the WHDLoad uses slaves then i would imagine it is not possible

I think Donk uses the floppy for save game files so it is possible I assume.

Other games also use extra floppies for saving games, but WhdLoad creates slaves for them. I don't know if there's an option for that.

I was asking as Wayne Gretzky Hockey need to load game files (teams) and save result to floppy to save for Hockey Leahue Simulator.

If it's not possible, then there no point of using the WHDLoad version of Wayne Gretzky Hockey as the game is useless without Hockey League Simulator

From the readme of WHDLoad patch:

- Load/Save game redirected to HD in 'disk.2' file
(to swap gamedisk and savegamedisk just click on DF0: in load/save menu)
- Savegame can be imaged using RAWDIC too
(Warning!! last tracks can have checksum errors if they not still used
for savegame. So just click 'cancel' to skip them)

Couldn't you use SaveDir or SavePath and set it to DF0:?
