AmTerm and keyfile

I have my keyfile for AmTerm from way back, but it is not recognized by the program, I see with SnoopDos that it reads the file, but that's it. However, unlike all other VaporWare keyfiles I got, the format of my AmT.key is not binary, but ascii, with something that looks like PEM format: First a line thanking me for registering, and then a line "---BEGIN KEY #12345, my name" followed by 4 lines at max 30 chars (last line just 2) and "---END KEY". (well, not 12345, but my teg number)

So I wonder, the key is clearly encoded, but using what? Does it require decoding? I feel a little daft for not remembering the encoding formats from way back, I really just recall uuencoding, and this is not it.

I am trying to use AmTerm from aminet, which is version 1.1, but I have seen that the NetConnect3 package comes with 1.5, so is this available somewhere? Note, I speak of AmTerm, not AmTelnet, which works just fine with its keyfile

Thanks! That version required the netconnect.library and the netconnect keyfile, but at least it works and doesn't nag. Still I am puzzled about what's up with the version on aminet not recognising my personal keyfile

want to have a look too, but i stumble over MUI:libs/mui/term.mcc
i have v26 of it, but i get a requester: AmTerm can only find v0 and needs at least v19.
snoopdos lists also v0, when term.mcc gets opened. c:version says v26
i think it is some issue with MUIv5 - although in mui main program term.mcc does work, says v26.
anyway, at least it does work for you.

np. the trouble with term.mcc is related to MUIv5.
AmTerm with term.mcc v26 does work with MUIv3.8
