Writing Disk Images For An MSX on an Amiga?

Is it possible to write MSX disk images to a 3.5 floppy using an Amiga? This may sound like a odd question, but my new PC doesn't have a 3.5 floppy drive anymore and I thought I read somewhere that the Amiga could read MSX disks. Is there a program I can use to do this?

Hi Tempest 2084!

Yes, you can write a MSX disk-image to a disk-floppy using the Amiga.

I don't know any tool to make it directly, but you can use AmiMSX emulator:

- Launch AmiMSX v3.2 (this version don't need key file and works fine with Scalos)
- Open a MSX Disk Image (Menu: MSX Virtual Drive / Load MSX File)
- Write DiskImage to a floppy (Menu: MSX Virtual Drive / Save MSX Disk)
- Select Disk drive to write ( DFx: )

That's all!!!

You don't need start MSX emulation, it is all done with GUI!

Note: You need mfm.device to write MSX disks

Good luck!

Juan
