AmigaAMP: New version of the most famous Player MP3 AMiGA

AmigaAMP v3.24 Video Test Audio

This revision has undergone major internal restructuring to make maintenance easier. I've fixed a lot of small old bugs along the way but I can't guarantee that I haven't introduced new ones. However, extensive beta testing has been done to verify the integrity and stability of this new release. Here's the list of the most important changes:

Completely reworked shoutcast streaming code.
Fixed handling of empty ID3v2 comment fields.
Fixed drawing of skinned equalizer "AUTO" gadget. But it doesn't do anything. :-)
Localized some more strings.
Fixed older OS4 version compatibility.
Fixed buffer overflow in MPEG reading routine.
Fixed redrawing current time display when changing skins.
Fixed background fill in playlist time display for spaces.
Refined ID3v2 tag reading and added ID3v2.2 support.
Fixed updating changed config file.
Changed layout of info window, added more fields.
ESC key now also closes the info and the prefs window.

The 68k version now inofficially supports OS3.1. If you don't have ClassAct installed you can only use it in skinned mode without the file info window. The preferences tool won't work either. Installing ClassAct v3.3 will enable both the 'ReAction' functionality of AmigaAMP itself as well as the preferences tool. Some GUI elements don't work yet in this configuration. I will fix that in a later release.

What are you running this on? The amount of RAM available is beyond comprehension lol.

WinUAE has no limits in this sense even if the RAM is not entirely usable, seee video and you'll see the speed you can get on the whole system (AmigaAmp skins change, speed running mp3 and windows out screen etc..).

Hi.
I have 2 problems with amigaamp on os3.9

1) when I play mp3 with hardware decoding( prisma megamix) there is no fire bars. I know 68k not decoding. My problem is I couldnt find any selection for fake visuliasion. I think it is needed because without bars it is little boring. Is there somewhere a fake bars plugin?

2) when I play from pls file ( from internet radio ) there is only url on the playlist. I couldnt rename them.

Anybody help? Thanks...

I can't help with 1, but 2 is very much down to the Internet Radio station. I have used a few that didn't give track names so all I got was the url but most of the ones these days are working fine, including the stream I'm listening to right now

I want to see only Xradio.pls
Files name on the playlist.
It can be very nice with file name selection option maybe. Right?
Too much url with long numbers only on the playlist. Not nice I think.

- As for the first point, I don't understand what you mean by "fire bars".

- For the second point, if I understand correctly, you can add more links and see the tracks with the name you prefer, see screenshot.

Fake bar option can relief low cpu amigas on speed for visuliation calculating when plays on software mod with bars.

With the mouse if you click on Fire bars anything happens? clicking should change the "Fire"

On hardware decoding, only black hole.
They are coming on software decoding they are coming normally.
On hardware decoding i never saw any bar on any click.
Option is coming but then nothing.

I can't answer your problem, try to use Snoopdos if you're missing some library or other.

I couldnt tell myself to you.
On the hardware decoding with dsp decoder chip based cards, amigaamp’s own spectrum analyser cant move because computer sends encoded data with no calculation to the dsp music card.

So there no calculation on cpu for decoding an mp3 file. So spectrum analyser can not move.

I ask is there any option for fake moving bars randomly (not moves with music’s own senkronisation.)
